Miss Pendleton (Update to C.222 END) - Chapter 75
Laura clearly informed Olivia that most of the information she knew was exaggerated. In particular, the books sold in bookstores as guides to high society were completely different from the actual state of society.
Such books were mostly written irresponsibly by washed-up socialites desperate for pocket money, filled with exaggerations and fabrications. The content was mostly about trends long outdated in society or things that had never been in vogue.
Laura pointed out each error Olivia believed to be true, offering proper advice.
“It’s a place where people live, Miss Fairfax. It’s a place where refined ladies are admired, but what’s truly needed is lineage and wealth. As a lady from a distinguished Yorkshire gentry family, you’ll be welcomed in society.”
“Really?”
“Absolutely.”
Olivia felt oddly reassured by Laura’s words.
“Look, I told you there was no need to fret.”
Mrs. Fairfax chimed in with a voice tinged with amusement.
“Until your debut, just enjoy dancing or painting as hobbies. And relax a bit.Once you’re in London, you’ll be diving into the marriage market,so it’s a pity to spend your last days as a girl only studying.”
“But what should I do for fun?”
“Go to the forest with your siblings and your governess, or learn fishing from your uncle Ian.”
Olivia shook her head.Even though she was free from her fear of high society, she was too grown to be interested in children’s games.
“That’s not for me. It’s not something a lady would do.”
“Oh, that lady nonsense again.”

Cold Male Lead Became My Clingy Husband (Female-Dominant)
Feng Bai Su transmigrated into a matriarchal novel, becoming the sister of the female protagonist and the Seventh Princess of the Feng Ling Kingdom.
After working herself to death in her previous life, finally reincarnating as a princess, she only wanted to be a lazy fish who could eat, sleep, and play.
Until she met the male protagonist from the book, Wei Jing Mo, and he took a liking to her!
Wei Jing Mo is the top young man in Feng Ling City, talented in both appearance and ability, from a prestigious family, with a cold and otherworldly appearance, a figure like the bright moon in the hearts of noble ladies. It was thought that only the most powerful and talented noble lady in Feng Ling City would be worthy of such a brilliant young man. Who knew that this young gentleman would secretly admire the infamous Seventh Princess?
Short scene 1:
Feng Bai Su looked at the young man crying like a pear blossom in the rain before her, and couldn’t help but doubt her life.
Wasn’t the male lead described as a cold and otherworldly figure in the book?
Then who was this poor little thing crying with swollen red eyes and tear-stained face?
Short scene 2:
Wei Jing Mo stared intently at Feng Bai Su who was about to go out, wanting to say, “Be careful on the road.”
Before he could speak, Feng Bai Su suddenly bent down and bit his cheek.
Her peach blossom eyes were full of disdain: “Tsk! You’re so clingy!”
Wei Jing Mo: “…”
A talented fox spirit female lead with a flirtatious appearance but actually abstinent VS A cold-looking but actually naive and clingy little jealous male lead

It’s progressing a bit slowly, but nicely… I hope there won’t be unnecessary distances between them due to misunderstandings.
I think this trip to Bath will be good to Laura. Meeting these women will inspire her to be more confident. I just hope her ex and Mr. Dalton don’t ruin it.
Each chapter leaves me in suspense for the future. Although the readers are given assurance from Laura’s feelings since the carriage kiss, I can’t help but doubt the next steps for this couple! Ian’s feeling are deep and tumultuous like waves against a cliff. I can only hope that when the two finally meet, he will remain level headed.
