Life After Divorce (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 62
“I was told by Marchioness Weekly herself that there’s a gathering she absolutely must attend, so I’m going to join her there.”
It was the outdoor gathering to which she’d conveyed her refusal to Marchioness Weekly just yesterday. Though the marchioness had sharply rebuked her, she simply didn’t want to lose precious time with Etricia over a gathering that held no interest for her.
Now, having even entertained such thoughts, she regretted having turned down Etricia’s invitation to go out.
‘I want to go too… I really want to go too…’
But tomorrow, she had to bake a three-tiered cake for the luncheon—that, at least, she wanted to do herself.
‘I should’ve just asked to go another day.’
Lirien, pulling herself from self-reproach, smoothed her furrowed brow and lifted her chin slightly—only to meet Etricia’s gaze.
Etricia’s peridot-colored eyes shimmered with confusion.
“Lady Etricia?”
“Oh.”
Etricia let out a sigh and blinked once, as if emerging from a daydream. Then, as usual, she gently curved the corners of her lips into a soft smile.
Her clear, bright eyes closed demurely.
“I see. Well, it can’t be helped. Come to think of it, I received many invitations before our retreat, yet never managed to attend any. Honestly, it feels as if I’d been the one holding myself back.”
That’s… not quite right. It wasn’t that Etricia had been holding her back—it was she herself who had fiercely avoided those gatherings simply because she’d wanted to stay with Etricia.
For a fleeting moment, Lirien sensed something oddly off. It was as if Etricia’s beloved, demure smile was faintly crumbling at the edges.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
