Interest Compounds on Revenge (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 67
Madame Armand’s divorce story left everyone in shock.
It was hard to believe they had lived as a harmonious couple for five years, given how messy the end was.
“It seems Emily Lant told her husband she wanted a separation. I grabbed her by the hair.”
The story that followed was equally astonishing.
“I know it was wrong to grab and shake her hair so roughly. But my husband doesn’t know Emily’s true nature at all.”
Even if someone told him what kind of woman Emily was, he wouldn’t believe it and even accused Madame Armand of slandering an innocent person.
“What kind of woman is she?”
Pauline quietly asked Lea.
“She sent love letters to Terren for years, saying she’d be fine even as his mistress.”
“She’s crazy, knowing he has a fiancée…!”
Pauline snapped angrily at Lea’s reply.
Lea added one more thing: at the Bellis banquet hall, Emily had also given Terren a love letter.
“Ugh! Just grabbing her hair? I’d have gone for her legs…!”
Pauline, unusually indignant, fumed. Chainer, chuckling, seemed amused.
Even to naïve Chainer, it looked like Pauline was empathizing because of her own romance with Tom.

I don’t understand, if she is trying to save the twins, why is she putting a gun to her head? She needs to be alive for the twins to survive.
This is sounding less like a punishment and more like a privilege.
Sometimes this novel’s inability to reflect anything close to realism frustrates me. Let’s reward arson and attempted murder! (Can’t help but point out the lack of creativity with Mr. Baker’s name.)
