Interest Compounds on Revenge (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 42
Lea dashed straight to Terren’s bedroom.
‘Is Terren sick too?’
She had always thought him unshakable—different from ordinary people—believing he never fell ill or collapsed easily.
Yet now he was so sick he couldn’t eat and had a high fever.
Then again, he was still struggling with the wounds of war. Without even pausing to knock, Lea flung the door open and cried out,
“Terren!”
As she opened the door, Luke was tending to Terren by his side. She’d only heard about it verbally, but actually seeing him lying in bed struck her with a profound shock.
“Ah… does it hurt?”
His face was pale from however long he’d been suffering.
“Grace.”
Terren called out to her in a weak voice. Immediately, Grace turned to Luke and scolded him harshly.
“Luke, since when has Terren been like this? Did you call Doctor Wilson? No, in this condition, he should’ve been taken to the hospital! Why are you only telling me now?”
Before he could answer, Lea pressed on relentlessly.

I don’t understand, if she is trying to save the twins, why is she putting a gun to her head? She needs to be alive for the twins to survive.
This is sounding less like a punishment and more like a privilege.
Sometimes this novel’s inability to reflect anything close to realism frustrates me. Let’s reward arson and attempted murder! (Can’t help but point out the lack of creativity with Mr. Baker’s name.)
