“Sir Cram would be suitable.”
“Do you mean as a servant?”
“It’s been an awfully long time since the Dex family withdrew from Titris affairs. He likely knows nothing—will that be alright?”
“That’s precisely why he’s the one I want. Assign him.”
Trish seemed as if she had something to say, but quietly stepped back instead.
Silence settled over the room. Roxa closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
The air seeping through the window crack was so cold it felt as though it would freeze her nostrils.
Though spring had arrived early.
“Nothing will change.”
Her tone carried the weight of a vow.

One-line summary: The female lead is actually cold-hearted and extremely rational. She has stage-by-stage relationships and won’t two-time, but there will always be someone who secretly likes her.

I liked the analogy. Whether an owl or a peacock, Cram appears to be a bird.
