Karan crossed his arms haughtily and smirked. Amber slammed her hand on the table. Sparks flew between them.
“We didn’t gather here to fight.”
Once again, Elise calmed the atmosphere.
“Elise is right.”
David rubbed his forehead in agreement, causing Ilaria and Amber—who had been huffing—to settle down.
