Regina clung to Elise and sobbed loudly. Though she was the only one clinging, she wasn’t the only one crying.

Jasmine, Debois, Hartvin, Roxa, and Leber were all tear-streaked as well.

“Stop crying already. Someone might think we’re holding a funeral.”

“A funeral? My lady! Don’t say such unlucky things. Today’s a party—*sniff*—a party!”

Regina’s mouth grew sharp from the stress she’d endured every time Elise volunteered for dangerous tasks.

But everyone felt similarly, so instead of scolding Regina, they silently cheered her on inside.

“No more dangerous tasks or places from now on! If you secretly go off and do something reckless again, I’ll—*sniff*—drown myself in a dishwater basin!”

Elise smiled at the adorable threat.

“This isn’t funny. *Hmph*. I feel exactly the same. If you don’t want to lose Titris’s talents, you’d better stay alert.”

Hartvin sided with Regina. Karan gave his shoulder a light pat.

“Your Highness, please remove your hand. I’m going to submit a transfer request—I’ll join Prince Covert as his aide.”

“Just idle talk.”

Karan chuckled softly. Normally, he’d have told him to cut the nonsense, but right now, Karan was in a better mood than anyone else.

“But seriously, your timing’s perfect. I was just about to sneak and eat it all without telling you.”
