A wave engulfed Karan. Though it was clearly a dream, the cold seawater felt chillingly vivid.

Karan struggled desperately not to be swept away by the wave. But before nature, humans were powerless.

Karan was dragged into the sea by the wave. His body was helplessly sucked deep underwater.

Perhaps because it was a dream, he didn’t feel short of breath—only the oppressive weight of the water pressing down on him.

Karan surrendered himself entirely to the water. Maybe because he was certain it was just a dream, he felt no fear at all.

Gradually, the underwater world began to feel comfortable. Then, unfamiliar scenes started popping up one after another.

Most were memories of Elise. She looked more mature than now, and didn’t recognize Karan at all.

Even when he spoke to her, she only glanced at him briefly—never smiling warmly or calling his name affectionately.

“Chase, come here.”

And beside her, as if it were only natural, stood Chase. She smiled at him, but Chase, looking annoyed, moved away.

‘That bastard!’

Before Karan could even get angry, the scene shifted.

Gates began bursting open, one after another. Karan led warriors to conquer the gates, growing impatient at news of Chase’s continued successes.

Karan achieved a great victory but lost many warriors. Yet he had no time to grieve—he had to charge forward immediately.

“Your Highness Karan, this is Elise Warton. Congratulations on conquering the gate. You’ll surely lead Titris in the campaign against Ragnaros, won’t you? I’m counting on you.”
