I Received The Holy Sword By Dawn Delivery (4 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 9
Crash!
Something toppled over with a loud clatter. In the hallway stood a lean, blond young man, slumped on the floor.
He must have been eavesdropping on the conversation.
With eyes slanted like a sly raccoon, the figure was none other than Chad, the Student Council’s vice president.
His eyes, which had widened in surprise when he fell, now half-closed again, exuding a languid charm.
Unlike the solidly built Matian, Chad had a tall, slender frame that stylishly suited his slightly loose uniform.
“…What are you doing, Chad?”
Matian extended a hand toward Chad. Chad grabbed it, stood up, and pouted as he grumbled.
“I heard from the part where Lucena lost her memory. I was just giving you the answer in advance, Matian, in case you asked.”
“It’s still not good to listen in, even if you knew.”
“I can’t help it—curiosity kills me. Besides, managing ‘students of concern’ is literally my job.”
“Sigh.”
Matian let out a short sigh and stepped out of Lucena’s room.
Chad lazily trailed behind him, waving a limp hand toward Lucena.
“Hey, Luca! If it’s tough dealing with memory loss, just let us know.”
“Huh? What?”
Was “Luca” really her name? Lucena stared quietly at Chad, who had casually shortened her name.
“We’re the Student Council, after all. Whatever trouble a ‘student of concern’ has, we’ll help with anything.”
With a wink of one eye, Chad whistled as he sauntered off.
A student of concern? Lucena tilted her head in confusion.
[This is the timeline separator]“Do I really need help?”
Lucena bit her lip as she looked down at her uniform. Dirty footprints were stamped on it like seals.
It had been four days since she’d desperately tried to adjust to the military academy.
During that time, Lucena had gathered plenty of information about this body.
First, Lucena was famously the perpetual last-place student at the academy.
She apparently had no friends—apart from the Student Council, no cadet had spoken to her in four days.
Second, Lucena was officially registered as a “student of concern,” subjected to the Student Council’s watchful “care.”
It seemed she’d been consistently bullied by a certain group.
And finally, right now, Lucena was surrounded by the very group she suspected.
The thugs, who resembled boiled potatoes, looked down at her with contemptuous expressions.
After seeing nothing but handsome men since arriving in this world, encountering these boiled-vegetable-looking fellows finally gave her a sense of reality.
“Well, well, Lucena Golden. Long time no see?”
“Oh, hi. Haha.”
“Hi? She says hi to me. Hey, guys.”
Hans turned to his gang behind him and snorted. They burst into laughter along with him.
“Did your guts crawl out when you ran back? You’re just an adopted brat with not a single drop of Golden Earldom blood!”
Hans’s plump fingers tapped mockingly against Lucena’s forehead.
Each tap pushed her backward until—clank—her back hit the long hallway locker. There was nowhere left to retreat.
“W-why are you doing this to me?”
“You really don’t remember anything, even after losing your memory? Did you forget what day it is? Huh?”
He glared at her, his tiny eyes bulging like knot holes.
“How would I possibly know that?”
She tried to sound brave, but her shoulders hunched inward.
She’d only ever heard about school bullying—facing it herself made her limbs tremble uncontrollably.
“We’re hungry because you didn’t go buy us snow rabbit bread and two bottles of milk from the shop up ahead!”
Wow. Even in a medieval fantasy world, errand-running for bread existed. Lucena looked up at them, inwardly surprised.
Her previous life as Kim Ha Yoon hadn’t been easy either, but this reincarnated existence wasn’t turning out any smoother.
“Forget your memory? That doesn’t excuse skipping your duties. Just do it already!”
Ugh. Her body instinctively curled up like a shrimp dropped into boiling water.

“Hahahaha! Look at this guy!”
Ah, she must have looked especially pathetic just then.
Lucena slowly lowered her arms—previously raised to cover her face—and straightened her back slightly, but the potato-headed bullies were still doubled over laughing.
“Yeah, go ahead and laugh. Even I think it’s funny—how much more hilarious must it be for you?”
Lucena bit her lip and searched inwardly for the Holy Sword to save her.
“High Vizbi, please help me.”
「I’m sorry, Master. Your recent behavior was so embarrassing that this great Holy Sword must temporarily consult the heavens for guidance.」
“The heavens?”
「I shall reconfirm whether you truly are my rightful master, then return. That should alleviate this shame. Estimated verification time: fourteen minutes and fifty-eight seconds.」
“What kind of Holy Sword feels embarrassed?”
Hey, Vizbi? Vizbi! Lucena called out desperately in her mind, but no reply came.
Just then, the Student Council from yesterday passed by the hallway.
Matian, ever the proper council president, walked with a neat uniform and a gentle smile, while Chad yawned lazily, his cadet uniform loosely draped over him.
Behind them followed Bolton, the burly council secretary, and Aaron, the petite council treasurer—nearly Lucena’s size.
They were so engrossed in discussing council agenda items they paid no attention to their surroundings.
Just as the Student Council passed by, Hans’s gang slung their arms over Lucena’s shoulders, pretending to be friendly.
“Perk up that face.”
Hans clenched his molars and pressed hard against Lucena, leaving her unable to smile or frown. Chad waved at her from afar.
“Yaaawn. Hi, Luca. You’ve got lots of friends again today.”
At Chad’s greeting, Matian—who had been chatting with another cadet—quietly turned his gaze toward Lucena too.
Though his lips still held a smile, his icy blue eyes remained as cold as ever.
“Well, I’m not exactly doing fine right now… Ugh.”
Lucena spoke honestly but let out a pained groan. Hans’s arm, draped over her shoulder, had suddenly tightened its grip.
“You damn bastard!”
Lucena tried to pry Hans’s arm off with both hands, but it wouldn’t budge.
Meanwhile, Hans grinned at Chad and waved his free hand.
“Hey, Chad. I’m playing with Lucena right now. Let’s hang out later.”
“Sure, sure. I’ll leave Luca in your capable hands, Hans.”
Chad stretched widely and continued down the hallway. Matian and the other council members, who had been staring straight at Lucena, followed suit.
Once they disappeared past the bustling cadets at the end of the corridor, Hans immediately grabbed Lucena by the collar.
“You still haven’t gotten your act together, have you? With lips as soft as a pig’s bladder, looking like some girl?”
“Ugh, I can’t breathe! Let go!”
Lucena raked her nails sharply across the back of Hans’s hand. The skin tore, and he grimaced.
“So you didn’t just lose your memory—you lost your spine too? Guess I’ll help you find it again.”
With that, Hans opened a nearby cleaning cabinet.
From inside, he pulled out a long mop and shoved Lucena in.
“What the hell? Open this right now!”
Lucena pounded and shook the metal door, but it wouldn’t budge.
Outside, Hans had jammed the mop handle across it like a bolt, locking her in.
“This feels weird.”
Without reason, her breath grew short and her limbs trembled uncontrollably. An indescribable terror rose from her feet, squeezing her tight.
“It seems the original Lucena Golden was afraid of confined spaces.”
That must’ve been why Giselle had sent her in an open-sided carriage.
Even though her soul had changed, her body still remembered its old fears.
“Open… please open it.”
Lucena took the deepest breath she could and pounded on the cabinet again.
But all she heard through the thin metal door was fading laughter and footsteps.
“Open… please.”
She could barely speak now. Heh… hah… She gasped repeatedly for air.
She called for the Holy Sword again—but received no answer.

Was this panic disorder? Or claustrophobia? Her mind slowly turned blank white.
Ding, dong. The distant bell tower chimed, signaling the next class period.
Click. Thud.
Something slid out from the door’s latch, and the cabinet—previously unyielding—creaked open.
A sliver of white light squeezed through the narrow gap.
“I’m saved!”
She wanted to bolt out immediately, but Lucena hesitated.
She didn’t want anyone to see her in such a disheveled state.
She clasped her trembling hands tightly, took a deep breath, wiped the tears from her cheeks with her sleeve, and steadied her legs.
“Alright. I’ll thank them calmly.”
Stepping out of the cabinet…
“What in the world?”
Surprisingly, no one was around. She scanned left and right, but the hallway stood empty and silent.
“Did the door just open by itself?”
All that remained were the broken mop in two pieces and a faint, lingering scent of perfume in the air.
“I’ve smelled this before…”
She sniffed like a puppy, but couldn’t place whose scent it was.
“Why help me and just leave?”
Disappearing silently meant they didn’t want credit. After all, associating with someone being ostracized brought nothing good.
So they’d quietly rescued her and slipped away.
“Still… thank you for helping.”
Lucena murmured toward the empty hallway, then thought again of Hans and his gang, who’d locked her in here.
“Guess I’ll let it happen twice.”
She bent down, picked up the broken mop, and used its sharp end to carve her name into the cabinet door’s corner.
Among all the graffiti already covering it, one more name wouldn’t stand out—but to her, it meant something.
A small mark to say she’d survived another day here.
As if she’d crumble over something this trivial! Her life was far too precious.
“I’ll survive this—fiercely!”
Lucena tossed the stick aside, brushed off her hands, and sprinted toward her lecture hall.
The acrid smell of the mop clung to her clothes, but that was nothing a good wash couldn’t fix.
