I Received The Holy Sword By Dawn Delivery (4 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 8
Lucena opened the juice bottle and gulped down the suspicious liquid in one go.
It tasted like herbal medicine mixed with vinegar.
On top of that, the slimy texture was truly the worst, but considering it was worth her life, it was bearable.
‘Alright, let’s go in first. If I don’t fit in with school life, I can just leave then.’
This wasn’t a prison—there was no way she’d be unable to leave.
After emptying the entire bottle, Lucena wiped her mouth and stepped through the school gate, glaring at the school building.
Her whole body throbbed as if the medicine had taken immediate effect, but the pain wasn’t unbearable.
Meanwhile, Chad, the Student Council Vice President, who had just come out of a shop loaded with snacks, stared intently at Lucena’s back as she entered the gate.
“Isn’t that… Lucena?”
“Did that troublemaker really come back?”
Bolton, the Student Council secretary, turned his eyes following Chad’s gaze.
“Wow, that troublemaker. I thought she’d drop out, but I guess she wants a diploma after all.”
“Right? Strangely enough, she came back perfectly fine.”
Chad couldn’t tear his eyes away, unusually astonished by Lucena’s return.
“What’s so strange about it? Anyway, why are you staring at that troublemaker like she’s something special?”
“Hmm, it looked like Lucena was drinking something interesting just now.”
“Interesting?”
“Must’ve been my imagination.”
Chad yawned exaggeratedly, then headed back toward the school with his arms full of snacks.
Bolton scratched his head and followed behind.
“By the way, Chad.”
“What?”
“Didn’t Matian go to that troublemaker’s room earlier? Did he know she’d come back?”
“He probably got a quiet report from the guards when the Golden Earldom’s carriage entered the capital. Anyway, it’ll be really entertaining when those two meet, don’t you think?”
Alright, I’ve got to go watch. Chad hurried his steps, humming a tune.
[This is the timeline separator]Saint Military Academy—the Empire’s most prestigious institution for young men. True to its reputation, the campus was elegant and immense.
Spread across the vast grounds stood three college buildings and one dormitory facing each other.
Each college offered different lectures, and their names were said to be derived from the three heroes who distinguished themselves in the Demon War 600 years ago.
Wiegartz College, positioned at the front, hosted martial arts and combat technique classes, while Golden College, standing beside it, conducted mathematics and magic lectures.
Behind them lay Closet College, dedicated to theology and religious studies, next to which stood the dormitory complete with an annexed bathhouse.
In the large training field at the center of the campus, an equestrian tournament was in full swing, while cadets wielding wooden swords practiced in the dojos scattered throughout.
Several energetic cadets were bustling about, kicking a ball on the lawn.
‘Ugh, it smells like sweat from every direction.’
「Focus, Master. You were supposed to turn right at the fork just now.」
‘I was distracted.’
With that, Lucena turned around.
Wasn’t that an elf she just passed? Those long, pointed ears were unmistakable.
Moreover, seeing gnomes and beastmen with tails reaffirmed that she was indeed in a fantasy world.
Though she briefly got lost, Lucena easily reached the dormitory thanks to Holy Sword’s guidance.
A massive fresco of a hero on the wall directly opposite the square-shaped lobby captured visitors’ attention.
Spiral staircases extended upward from both ends of the fresco, rising all the way to the fifth floor.
‘Let’s see, my dorm room is 414, so…’
Upon reaching the fourth floor, Lucena walked down the long corridor searching for her room. The fact that every room was a single occupancy was quite nice, but…
‘Room 414 is wide open?’
Peering quickly inside, Lucena saw an absurdly handsome statue-like figure. She’d mistaken him for an elf at first, but his ears confirmed he was human.
He sat firmly at the desk inside, staring directly at Lucena.
Unlike her encounter with Perta, this man exuded an overwhelming presence—merely crossing his long legs made him seem to dominate the entire space.
Because of that, Lucena couldn’t even step into her own room and stood stiffly at attention by the door.
‘Could I have gotten the wrong room?’
Trending
She backed away and double-checked the door.
The nameplate clearly read “Lucena Golden.”
“It’s your room. The door was open from the start—wide open, in fact.”
He slowly rose, adding that according to school rules, it wasn’t a violation for another cadet to enter if the door was already open.
His sleek black hair was neatly combed back, revealing deep blue eyes beneath.
Slightly downturned eyelids gave a gentle impression, yet his sharply defined nose was as cold as a blade.
Beneath it lay perfectly shaped, firmly closed lips.
At a glance, he looked exactly like this world’s male protagonist.
He scanned Lucena expressionlessly, then flicked his eyes toward a small mirror hanging on the wall.
Seemingly confirming his own expression, he lifted his stiff lips into a flawless smile.
“You’re back, Lucena.”
What the—his delayed smile clearly showed he wasn’t actually happy to see her. Frowning, Lucena glanced sideways at the name tag pinned on his chest.
“H-hi. Matian Wiegartz.”
She offered a greeting first to the statue-like figure who apparently knew this body. The unfamiliar syllables felt awkward on her tongue.
But she had no energy to worry about her clumsy pronunciation.
Her own voice sounded far more alien than the name “Matian Wiegartz.”
‘It’s a man’s voice!’
Her voice had dropped to an unusually low pitch.
She’d thought the gender juice hadn’t changed anything, but apparently, small details like this had shifted.
‘Wait a second. Does that mean this area too?’
Lucena’s gaze dropped to her chest.
She belatedly began patting her upper body. There was no doubt—she was now male there as well.
Matian watched Lucena’s frantic gestures with a frown, then softened his expression into a gentle smile again.
“I was waiting for you—I have something to ask.”
“S-something to ask?”
The idea that such a stunning man had been waiting for her sent shivers down her spine rather than excitement.
His aura was just that deadly.
Matian strode toward Lucena, who stood frozen by the doorway. His long legs closed the distance between them in an instant.
‘I didn’t notice while he was sitting, but he’s huge up close.’
Lucena held her breath. His uniquely heavy presence, mingled with a crisp cologne scent, pressed down on her lungs.
“You took a long unexcused absence. Was something wrong back home?”
His voice was remarkably kind, yet her tension didn’t ease.
“Just some personal matters…”
“What kind of matters?”
Smiling, Matian reached out toward Lucena, who stood hesitantly by the entrance.
Lucena reflexively squeezed her eyes shut. He was clearly smiling, yet somehow it felt unnerving.
‘He looks like the male lead, but his vibe screams hidden villain.’
Fortunately, the large hand that seemed poised to strike simply passed by Lucena’s ear and pulled the outward-opening door shut.
Thud. Click.
The metallic sound of the lock clicking into place was unusually sharp. Now, the room had become a sealed chamber for just the two of them.
“I asked what kind of matters, Lucena.”
“I-I was just sick.”
Terrified, Lucena instinctively stepped back and blurted out any excuse she could think of.
The door pressed firmly against her back. There was nowhere left to retreat.
“Really? Are you alright now?”
“Yeah.”
“Good. Though your illness must’ve been pretty severe—you’ve changed a lot.”
“C-changed? I’m exactly the same.”
Even as she said this, Lucena frantically repeated “High Vizbi” in her mind.
At this rate, she’d either suffocate from his oppressive aura or die from lack of air.

Yet despite her desperate mental pleas, the Holy Sword, who had previously chatted with her willfully, remained completely silent this time.
“The same?”
Matian slowly lowered his head to match Lucena’s eye level.
Then he stared straight into Lucena’s green eyes.
“To me, only the shell is the same—the core is completely different.”
How did he figure it out? Could he possess some special ability? Lucena gulped.
“I, uh… hit my head back home, haha.”
“That’s a boring joke, Lucena Golden.”
“I-it’s true! I don’t remember anything.”
Rubbing her forehead awkwardly, Lucena tried her best to navigate out of this situation.
“I didn’t even know who you were. I only managed to read your name from your name tag.”
“And yet you found your room remarkably well.”
“My family gave me some basic information.”
Please, just let it go already. Lucena forced a smile, trying to defuse the tension.
In response, Matian slowly nodded and straightened his posture again.
“Then I suppose you don’t know about that incident either.”
“What incident?”
“The disappearance of the Holy Sword from the Plaza of Honor. On the day you fled school, someone took it.”
As he spoke, Matian smiled even more broadly than before.
Lucena stared blankly at that gentle smile for a moment, then snapped back to her senses.
‘Wait a minute—the Holy Sword… could he mean the one that got delivered to me at dawn?’
An instinctive chill ran down her neck—pretending to know about the Holy Sword would be a terrible mistake.
Slowly, Lucena unclenched her tightly bitten lips.
“…Someone who lost their memory wouldn’t know about something like that.”
“I think so too. But I can’t shake the feeling I’m missing something.”
Matian stared intently into Lucena’s eyes for several seconds as if discerning lies, then sighed.
“Well, it’s probably just my imagination.”
He reached out again and clicked the lock open.
Lucena, embarrassed by their close proximity, twisted her body to make way for him to leave.
But Matian didn’t immediately open the door.
He fiddled with the doorknob for a moment, then suddenly flung the door wide open.
Male lead Asks for a Divorce Every Day
It’s not often you come across a plot like this in the female-dominant genre — make sure to check it out!

This is a novel I’m planning to reread as well.
The male lead is strong, skilled in martial arts, and not the usual fragile type you often see in matriarchal novels.
Meanwhile, the female lead is a scientist—rational and logical. Even when she falls for the male lead, she doesn’t let her emotions cloud her decisions.
If you push through the first few chapters, you’ll gradually find the story really intriguing.
It has a mix of mystery, detective elements, and romance.
The author’s writing style is like crafting a puzzle—except they deliberately leave out a few pieces, making it hard to predict what happens next, yet keeping you hooked.
In the end, everything will come together and be explained.
One-sentence summary: Wife, stop playing with beakers and look at me!
In a laboratory accident, research scientist Zhu Wansheng accidentally travels to a matriarchal world. The original owner of the body is an eighteen-year-old only daughter of a wealthy rouge merchant, already married with a handsome young man.
Zhu Wansheng grins: Nice! She always said she was heaven’s favorite granddaughter. After a life of toil in her previous life, she can enjoy blessings in this one.
However, her joy lasts no more than three seconds as bad news arrives: the original owner’s family is about to go bankrupt, and her husband wants a divorce.
Even worse, she’s stuck with a research system full of restrictions.
Zhu Wansheng: ? Is this the destiny of a research dog?
——
Faced with this mess, Zhu Wansheng pours herself a bowl of wine to drown her sorrows. In her drunken haze, her husband arrives.
His figure is imposing, holding a long sword, with a dignified air that captivates Zhu Wansheng.
Gu Yingqing, however, looks at the alcohol-reeking Zhu Wansheng with undisguised disgust and coldly asks, “Divorce or not?” The intoxicated Zhu Wansheng mumbles vaguely, “I think… it’s not… it’s not… impossible!”
——
The next day, after sobering up, Zhu Wansheng is full of energy, rolling up her sleeves ready to make a big move. As for yesterday? She has no memory of it.
Zhu Wansheng is ambitious; a research dog fears nothing!
Upgrading rouge, extracting fragrances, producing perfumes, researching lipsticks… all shall bow to the power of modern technology!
The original owner’s dying rouge shop is revitalized. Her mother is pleased and with a wave of her hand, passes on the family business to her. As she takes control and her experimental results gain popularity, it’s the pinnacle of her life…
——
But there are always those who can’t stand to see her doing well. Jealousy, scheming, assassination attempts – they want nothing less than her life.
The person who has always kept his distance from her suddenly holds her tightly in his arms, eyes full of concern.
She is unharmed, but he falls into a pool of blood…
Zhu Wansheng feels guilty, “I can grant you one wish.”
Gu Yingqing tentatively circles his arms around her, carefully resting his head in the crook of her neck, pleading softly, “I regret it. Can we not divorce?”
Zhu Wansheng: ? When did I agree to a divorce?
[Small Theater]
The newly developed rouge is beautifully packaged, and Zhu Wansheng is eager to try it.
Gu Yingqing suddenly appears: “My lady, may I apply it for you?”
Cool fingertips lightly brush her lips. His Adam’s apple bobs as he leans in for a light bite.
Zhu Wansheng: ?
Gu Yingqing: It smells so good, I wanted to taste it…
On a warm spring day, Zhu Wansheng tries a new perfume: “Spring Night.” Gu Yingqing corners her against a wall.
Warm breath lingers on her neck.
“My lady, from now on, may I test the fragrances for you?”
