With a brief introduction, Carlos stepped into the meeting hall.

Those cowed by his anger straightened their backs and clenched their lips.

Finally, after locking eyes with the elderly Marquess Bennett seated directly beside the Emperor’s seat, Carlos strode forward and took his place.

His stride was so broad that crossing the long hall took only an instant.

Once seated, Carlos leaned back in his chair and said nothing.

Normally, the Emperor would open the meeting with words of courtesy to his ministers—but since he remained silent, a cold silence settled over the hall.
