I Killed My Husband (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 18
Leopold quietly gazed at Mercedes’s hand before speaking.
“Actually, we still don’t have much information. His Imperial Majesty has stationed several agents in Shaym, but… it takes time for messages to travel back and forth, and since it involves the royal family, it’s hard to uncover details.”
“Yes, so it’s a collaboration between the Duke Russell and the King. Cromwell remains unscathed.”
“If Count Cromwell and the House of Russell unite to elevate a minor noble to the position of Crown Prince, the King would find it more convenient.”
“…I heard rumors that the minor noble is the King’s illegitimate child, and that he was adopted into the House of Russell to conceal it.”
“You know well. Since the bloodline continues, perhaps he intends to reveal the existence of the illegitimate child rather than endure his unworthy sons, and place him on the throne. I’ve heard the minor noble is quite sharp.”
Mercedes let out a deep sigh as she examined the documents.
There was nothing she could do immediately.
If she believed His Imperial Majesty’s sweet words, she might think he was about to start a war.
‘Hmm.’
As soon as she entered the office of the Emperor’s attendants, she felt sharp glances.
Yet, could she believe the Emperor’s words were sincere? She still didn’t understand why he had saved her.
So she couldn’t possibly rely entirely on someone she still couldn’t trust.
“And I’ve managed to dig up one more rumor, barely. Your… former husband. The deceased Crown Prince had an illegitimate child, and Count Cromwell is harboring that child.”
Leopold spoke slowly, studying her.

An Indifferent Woman is the One Men Desire the Most
One-line summary: The female lead is actually cold-hearted and extremely rational. She has stage-by-stage relationships and won’t two-time, but there will always be someone who secretly likes her.
This novel has the following triggers, so if you’re sensitive to these, please don’t read:
1. The female lead has had many relationships, but she treated each one seriously and broke up properly.
It’s just that the men unilaterally pestered her incessantly. For the female lead, when she doesn’t like someone anymore, she simply doesn’t like them.
(This applies to her relationships with Male Lead 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well, but she’s loyal in each 1-on-1 relationship!)
2. In this novel, Male Lead 2 and the female lead kiss in a car, and Male Lead 1 sees it and beats up Male Lead 2.
The female lead calls the police and sends both Male Lead 1 and 2 to the police station! Male Lead 1 begs the female lead not to break up with him.
3. Male Lead 1 has a gentle appearance but an obsessive personality.
Male Lead 2 has a delicate and soft appearance, slightly green tea-like (two-faced).
Male Lead 3 is a youthful college student and a smart person who has secretly liked the female lead for a long time.
Male Lead 4 is the female lead’s father’s special assistant, a business elite with deep, hidden thoughts.
4. At the beginning of this novel, the female lead has already broken up with Male Lead 1 (Chapter 4) and gotten back together with Male Lead 2 (ex-boyfriend).
5. Enter with caution if you have triggers!!!

Blairwoods Chapter 19Beside her stood a man, seemingly fused with the darkness, leaning close, gripping her hand that held the quill.
She thought her breath had stopped.
He’s back??
Blairwoods Chapter 20And suddenly, Carlos felt a strange unease within him.
‘I’m being shaken?’
It was absurd. He was supposed to shake her—not be shaken himself.
What? He’s suspicious 🤨
Blairwoods Chapter 21If she would offer what she had, that was enough.
Hm… he has motives behind his actions
