Sesenia showed no change in emotion, even though those words came from her older sister.

“Are you seriously telling me you found the holy relic?”

“So what’s impossible about that? Everyone gets lucky once in a while, right? This is just one of those times, Sister. Why… Why can’t even that kind of luck come my way?”

Apparently unwilling to tell their father they had traveled back in time, her face flushed with frustration—her features twisted, her cheeks burning red.

Noticing this strange behavior, the Marquis set down the letter from the temple and looked at the two of them.

“I haven’t the faintest idea what you two are talking about.”
