I Don't Recommend a Blunder with a Male Friend (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
“Ji Seo Jun! Over here! I’m right here!”
I wildly waved my arms to announce my presence.
“What are you doing over there?”
The students seemed startled by the man’s sudden appearance. Seizing the moment, I scrambled up from the ground and dashed over to Ji Seo Jun’s side.
“What? So you’ve got a boyfriend too, auntie?”
Two girls from the student group, upon spotting Ji Seo Jun, whispered to each other and blushed.
Watching this, the tall student scrunched up his face in disgust and tossed my wallet onto the ground.
That— that’s a designer wallet, you know… The one I’ve cherished so much…
Looking at my scattered belongings and my wallet rolling on the floor, I felt tears welling up uncontrollably.
“Were you seriously getting shaken down by high schoolers just now?”
Ji Seo Jun looked down at me with a pitiful expression.
“Well…”
Feeling embarrassed, I trailed off awkwardly, prompting Ji Seo Jun to sigh deeply and turn toward the students.
“Will you pick up the wallet again?”
“What did you say?”
When Ji Seo Jun pointed at the wallet and told them to pick it up, a few of the guys snickered mockingly.
“Mister, just take your lady and go. Unless you want a scar on that pretty face of yours.”
“Will you listen while I’m being nice? Kids?”
The tall one fanned out my bills and sneered smugly.
How are they even high schoolers? With faces older-looking than Ji Seo Jun’s and that smirk, they looked more like thirtysomething neighborhood thugs.
“Mister, are you trying to hang out with us? You’re super handsome—are you a model? Are you really a model, mister?”
One girl wearing an extremely short skirt flirted openly with Ji Seo Jun.
Both Ji Seo Jun and I, along with all the boys except the girls, instantly grimaced.
“Looks like words won’t get through to you.”
Ji Seo Jun said.
Is he going to fight them? Is Ji Seo Jun really going to pick a fight with those kids?
Even if Ji Seo Jun was good at sports, taking on all those students seemed impossible. I grabbed his arm tightly and shook my head back and forth.
But Ji Seo Jun simply brushed off my grip.
“I really like legal procedures. That way, I don’t have to waste my precious energy—the police, lawyers, prosecutors, and judges will handle everything for me.”
He pulled out his phone, dialed 112, and waved it in front of the students.
This time, another student scoffed and spoke up.
“We’re still minors—we won’t get punished. Don’t you even know about the Juvenile Protection Act?”
“Right. Even if you don’t get punished, I’ll make sure your school and your parents get notified. Just bothering you is enough to meet my goal. And hey—see that CCTV over there?”
Ji Seo Jun jerked his chin toward the security camera at the playground entrance.
Then he firmly pressed the call button.
“Hello, police station? A group of teenagers is threatening an adult woman and extorting money from her…”
As Ji Seo Jun called the police, the students suddenly started panicking.
“Hey, let’s go. Come on.”
One urged the others, and they began to scatter.
“Tch! What losers.”
The student holding my money scattered the bills on the ground and hurried off after the others.
“Are you okay?”
Still dazed, I stared blankly as the students disappeared—until Ji Seo Jun approached and asked.
“D-did you call the police? Are they coming?”
“The police? I didn’t actually call them.”
“What?”
“I figured scaring them a bit would make them leave on their own. Reporting it to the police would just cause me trouble.”
Then he started picking up the scattered bills around me, one by one.
“What if they’d hit you while you were doing that!”
“Clearly, they didn’t look like the type who’d dare. Anyway, aren’t you going to help pick these up?”

Fearless, huh?
Kids these days are terrifying.
Did living in America make him lose all sense of fear? Maybe after living in a country where people threaten each other with guns, these kids look cute to him.
Though I was utterly speechless, the thought that without Ji Seo Jun I might have ended up dragged off by them and forced to buy their cigarettes sent shivers down my spine.
“All this came from your bag?”
Seeing my belongings scattered all over the ground, Ji Seo Jun frowned. He never kept his brows relaxed—but with not a single wrinkle in sight, he clearly had naturally flawless skin.
“Yeah… All mine.”
I squatted down and started putting my things back into my bag, one by one.
“Why are you putting the trash back in?!”
The ever-fastidious Ji Seo Jun gaped at me, eyes wide with shock.
“I-I’m going to throw it away!”
He was scarier than those students just now. Had they gone far yet? Please don’t go. Come back!
Ji Seo Jun snatched my bag from my hand, which had been nervously glancing toward the playground entrance.
Grabbing my bag, he rummaged through its contents, frantically searching for trash.
“Don’t you ever throw away used tissues right after wiping your mouth?”
They weren’t used for wiping my mouth—they were used for blowing my nose! Ji Seo Jun gathered up tissues, candy wrappers, and receipts, crumpled them into a tight ball, and shoved it into my hand.
“Why do I have to hold this? Why not just leave it in the bag?”
“Just put it back in your bag. When we pass a trash can on the way home, you can toss it then.”
He clearly knew that once something went back into my bag, it rarely came out again.
“You said you’d wait in front of my house—how’d you end up here?”
“I was dropping off laundry… But why are you here?”
“Huh?”
I quickly averted my gaze at the sudden question.
Pretending not to hear was the best I could do right now.
“Don’t pretend you didn’t hear me, Moon Da Yul.”
That jerk!
When I shot him a glare, Ji Seo Jun grabbed my cheeks and started stretching them.
“I said I’d wait in front of your house—what were you doing at a playground? Huh?”
“Nnngh! Thash not—aiygo!”
“What do you mean ‘not’? What business do you have being at a playground?”
“I just… I just wanted to ride the swing, okay?”
“Oh! You wanted to ride the swing? Then let’s go.”
He released my cheeks, took my hand, and led me toward the swing set, then seated me on it.
“Hold on tight.”
The swing carrying me rose higher and higher off the ground.
“Put me down! Put me down, Ji Seo Jun!”
I could barely manage a carousel—let alone anything else. As a kid, I’d cry hysterically whenever the swing went too high.
Even as an adult, having my feet leave the ground and my body float up terrified me.
“If you don’t hold on tight, you’ll fall.”
I squeezed my eyes shut and gripped the swing ropes tightly.
“Aaah!”
I felt a sudden drop, and my body jolted. After a few back-and-forth swings, the swing abruptly stopped.
Peeking open one eye to check my surroundings, I found Ji Seo Jun standing in front of me, holding the swing ropes and looking down at me.
“Why are you avoiding me?”
Ji Seo Jun stared at me expressionlessly. His deep eyes gave no hint of what he was thinking.
“I’m not avoiding you…”
“Wanna go on the swing again?”
“N-no!”
“Tell me straight. Why are you avoiding me?”
“I… it’s just…”

As if to say I couldn’t escape unless I spoke, he tightened his grip on the swing rope right in front of me. Trapped between him and the swing, I was completely stuck.
“I… remembered.”
“What?”
“That night! I… I remembered it.”
Though Ji Seo Jun had snapped back at first, his voice gradually softened.
“So that’s why you’re avoiding me?”
I simply nodded in response to his question.
“…”
Ji Seo Jun fell silent. I tried to read his face, but he kept his head lowered, hiding his expression.
He let go of the swing rope and sat down on the swing next to mine.
“You said it was nothing—that we’d agreed to it, so we could go back to how things were before.”
Ji Seo Jun spoke.
“Back then… Honestly, I couldn’t remember everything clearly.”
“Hah.”
I heard the sound of deflating air. Right—he must’ve thought it was ridiculous. I felt like a fool myself, going back on my word like this…
“What would you like me to do?”
He kicked a small pebble lying in front of the swing and looked at me. The stone rolled away into the distance.
“I… don’t know either.”
“Just date me, then?”
He’s saying crazy things again.
“You don’t even like me!”
“Does that really matter?”
“Yes, it does!”
Ji Seo Jun gritted his teeth and clenched his fists so tightly his knuckles turned white.
“Then what do you want? Should we stop being friends? Pretend we don’t know each other?”
My stomach churned.
I hadn’t seen Ji Seo Jun this angry at me since the time I hid Auntie Yoon Hee’s illness.
“No…”
“Then what?”
“J-just… give me some time!”
“Time?”
I had to be honest with Ji Seo Jun. It was the only way to make him understand and calm down quickly.
“Right now… when I look at you, you’re just Ji Seo Jun—the same Ji Seo Jun I’ve stuck with since childhood. But whenever I remember that night, you feel like a completely different person.”
Ji Seo Jun’s dark eyes seemed to deepen even more.
“So I don’t know. I’m not sure if it’s right to date you with this kind of feeling—or even act like nothing happened.”
Ji Seo Jun ran his fingers through his hair, clearly frustrated.
“Fine. I’ll give you time. How much?”
“How would I know!”
“You should know. Should I decide for you?”
I glared fiercely at Ji Seo Jun.
“Ah, fine. Three months. Is that enough?”
Three months… That seemed reasonable, but just in case…
“Four.”
This time, Ji Seo Jun narrowed his eyes and glared back.
“Fine. Three months.”
And so, we agreed to give each other three months of space.
Walking out of the playground and heading home—
Ji Seo Jun, with his long legs, walked ahead while I trailed behind. Suddenly, he turned back to check on me and slowed his pace.
He’d always done that.
On the way to school, on the way back—whenever we walked home together, he’d stroll ahead with earphones in, but as soon as he noticed me falling behind, he’d slow down to close the gap.

Thinking back to our school days, I smacked my forehead.
Alcohol is the enemy. Alcohol is the real enemy.
But what if I end up dating Ji Seo Jun and then break up with him?
“Ji Seo Jun.”
“What?”
“If we ever date and then break up… what would happen to us?”
At my words, he stopped walking, turned around, and looked down at me.
“We won’t break up.”
“What? That doesn’t even make sense. Couples break up when feelings fade.”
“If I date you, I won’t do it half-heartedly.”
“Are you saying you’d marry me?”
“Yeah.”
I was too stunned to speak. Does this guy think dating and marriage are that easy?
“What makes everything so easy for you? Can you just marry anyone?”
“Are you really ‘anyone’ to me?”
His words left me speechless.
“Got any more questions?”
Ji Seo Jun tilted sideways and shoved his hands into his pockets. Surely it was just the streetlight making him seem like the only bright spot around.
“Do you… see me as a woman?”
The words I’d been holding back finally slipped out. My question floated away into the early summer night air, mingling with the sound of crickets.
“That night—you were definitely a woman to me.”
His voice cut through the cool night air and reached me.
“And I don’t regret sleeping with you. I hope you feel the same.”
He turned and walked a few steps, then looked back at me.
“Hurry up.”
I moved my feet, which had frozen in place, and walked up beside Ji Seo Jun.
The crumpled ball of trash Ji Seo Jun had shoved into my hand at the playground was still there.
A trash can appeared in the distance. I hurried over and tossed it in.
I pressed my now-empty hand against my chest. I hadn’t even run, yet my heart was pounding wildly.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
