I’d vaguely told my parents that exam season was coming up, so I’d be studying and coming home late.

Maybe it was because I’d been singing “Harvard, Harvard” everywhere since 10th grade?

Juno’s parents just looked at me—now slightly obsessive and academically intense, or in other words, more “Korean”—and remarked, “Could this be YouTube’s influence?”

Well, Juno’s older brother, the main character of Season 1 of that drama, had also gotten into Harvard, so they probably just accepted it as natural.

Of course, Juno’s brother hadn’t studied a single bit and only got in thanks to the protagonist’s special privileges. Damn that annoying Timothy Huntington…

“My mouth tastes bitter. Unlike Timothy, I actually have to go through this hell.”

This must be the price I’m paying for reincarnating as an extra.

Letting out a long sigh, I checked my watch and glanced around.

After walking a good while along the ivory-colored, imposing wall, I came upon a massive gate that resembled iron bars.

It was the mansion’s main entrance.

“Wow, I knew they were rich, but is this really just a house?”

I peeked through the bars and saw a vast garden with a fountain, cypress trees, and a cream-colored three-story mansion standing proudly in the center.

From inside, projector lights shone like concert spotlights, and raucous music and noise poured out.

That meant the party was already in full swing.

Truth be told, Adrian and I had agreed to meet inside the mansion at 9 p.m., and we’d even shared the invitation.

Yet I’d arrived a whole hour early to search for student Awakeners who hadn’t yet gathered at the gym.

‘I, too, had tried my hardest to hide my Awakening until I heard about college admission points. There must be others who, like me, deliberately skipped the gym.’

So it’d be better to sneak into the party early and scan the kids before Adrian showed up—once he arrived, things would surely get chaotic.

Carefully opening the gate, I crossed the long garden and entered the mansion.

Fortunately, the invitation seemed to be just for show—no one asked to see it or tried to stop me.

The moment I stepped inside, loud music thumped so hard the floor vibrated, and students were dancing wildly in the distance.

With the intense beat and deafening cheers—even though it was only 8 p.m.—the kids were already completely lost in the party frenzy.

I pushed through the crowd, pretending to sip cherry cola from a red disposable cup.

Among the guests, I recognized a few faces from the gym.

They were Simon, Nick, and the rest of the football team.

Well, the football team always loved crashing parties like this.

I remembered how they’d mocked Adrian. From past experience, I knew it was best to avoid hot-headed guys like them.

There were two types of characters I generally tried to steer clear of, and jock boys were definitely one of them.

As I quietly sidestepped them, their voices cut sharply through the music.

“By the way, why hasn’t Big shown up yet?”

“How would I know? Maybe he’s off making another new girlfriend somewhere.”

The team burst into giggles as they spoke.

‘Big? That name sounds familiar…’

But I couldn’t eavesdrop further—the first floor was too crowded, and I got jostled away from the football team without even trying.

Time had flown by without my noticing.

Exhausted from being drained by all the extroverts stomping around, making out, and recklessly trashing someone else’s house, I dragged myself up to the third floor.

Even so, I hadn’t forgotten my duty—I kept opening character info windows on strangers whenever I got the chance.

But contrary to my hopes, almost all of them were non-Awakeners.

Even if there were any Awakeners who’d skipped the gym, there were at most one or two—and even those were all rank F.

I’d hoped coming all the way here would be worth it, but I hadn’t found anything useful.

‘Does that mean Adrian and I really are the only high-tier Awakeners?’

After diligently checking everyone’s status windows, I finally sat down on a quiet, shadowy staircase railing to catch my breath.

According to my wristwatch, it was already past 11 p.m.

Our meeting time had passed, yet Adrian hadn’t shown up.

Instead, I’d received a text earlier—before 9 p.m.

It had arrived just as I’d entered Thompson’s mansion and started stirring things up.

[Juno, sorry, but I’m stuck in a long talk with my parents and probably won’t make it to the party on time. I’m really sorry to inconvenience you—how about we hang out together at the next party? :(]

The moment I read the message, I replied within five seconds.

[Adrian, I’m already at Thompson’s party and having so much fun! It’s super exciting, and I really wish you were here too! It’s still fine if you’re late—just please come by midnight! Absolutely!! XD!!]

Despite the cute emoticon, I sent the text with a dark expression, chewing loudly on candy.

‘If not now, it’ll be nearly impossible to complete your quest, Adrian. And as someone introverted like me, when I finally leave the house, I’ve got to get everything done in one go. So please, just cooperate a little.’

Thanks to my relentless pestering, I finally got a firm promise from Adrian that he’d definitely show up by midnight.

With some free time on my hands, I took the opportunity to leisurely check the status windows of more partygoers.

But maybe my scrawny nerd physique wasn’t meant for long parties—my whole body felt drained, and my legs trembled.

Wanting to catch my breath, I slipped away from the noise and hid in a hallway on the third floor. It was darker than the first floor but much quieter.

Yet footsteps kept thumping from the floor above.

“…Could there really be a rooftop too?”

I looked up at the ceiling in disbelief.

I’d already scoured the entire third floor of this huge mansion and checked everyone—how could there still be people on the rooftop?

But my hesitation didn’t last long.

Since I’d already come to this energy-draining party, I’d resolved to scan every single familiar face from school.

“Adrian will be here soon, so let me quickly check this last spot.”

With trembling legs, I forced myself to stand.

In a corner of the third floor, I found a door that looked like an emergency exit. I opened it and climbed a narrow staircase to the rooftop.

The moment I pushed open the rooftop door, I gasped.

The rooftop was practically another world.

A massive, snowman-shaped swimming pool. Girls in palm-sized swimsuits lounging on sunbeds. On the other side, guys showing off their bulging bodies as they swam, beam projectors shooting lights toward the night sky, and fireworks exploding everywhere.

In one corner, a group in swimsuits was recording a ridiculous dance video.

…What is this? It felt less like a high school house party and more like a secret adult gathering.

Just how rich did a family have to be to build a swimming pool on their rooftop? Anyone seeing this would mistake it for a luxury hotel.

As I wandered near the pool, scanning faces, someone suddenly approached me.

“Who are you?”

I jumped and looked up—it was Thompson, the mansion’s owner.

So that’s why I hadn’t seen him anywhere inside the mansion—he’d been partying up here all along.

“I’ve never seen your face before. Are you even from our school? Did I send you an invitation?”

When Thompson spoke to me, everyone by the pool turned their attention toward me.

After a brief pause, I tilted my chin up and said,

“I’m Juno Huntington from 11th grade.”

“Juno? Never heard of you. Though Huntington sounds familiar.”

Of course it did—he was referring to Timothy Huntington, my brother, who’d graduated from this school last year.

But since I didn’t particularly enjoy that topic, I stayed silent.

Behind me, golden-haired beauties emerged from the pool, dripping wet, and walked gracefully toward me, their faces full of curiosity.

“Oh! Huntington? Could this be Tim’s little sister? You know, Timothy Huntington!”

“Tim? Ah, that’s why the name felt familiar—just from the surname.”

“Right? Though her face seems totally new—maybe because she doesn’t look much like her brother?”

Though the topic bored me to tears, the surrounding crowd laughed exaggeratedly, clutching their stomachs.

Only then did I realize:

This rooftop paradise wasn’t part of the main mansion party—it was Thompson’s private gathering, exclusively for his close friends.

In other words, it was where the school’s so-called elite hung out.

The dazzling interior and rooftop pool were things ordinary middle-class families could only dream of. The handsome boys and beautiful girls all had striking features—far too glamorous for mere extras.

And every piece of clothing they wore was designer.

These were the typical characters from teen dramas: wealthy, mostly gorgeous, and fond of mocking or stepping on their peers.

‘They usually appear in serious, dark-themed teen dramas with profound themes.’

While some lighthearted teen stories unfolded carelessly like flower fields, there were also occasionally serious ones starring privileged high schoolers.

Of course, was a silly, cheerful genre—but that didn’t mean characters like these were entirely absent.

‘At least here, their behavior was toned down enough to seem cute.’

And they were the second group I least wanted to get tangled up with—right after those high school jocks.

No wonder the atmosphere here felt completely different from the kids partying downstairs.

So that’s why they kept to themselves up here—to avoid ruining ’ cheerful vibe!

For a moment, I felt utterly flustered, but I bit the inside of my cheek and barely regained my composure.

Just then, Thompson asked,

“Juno from 11th grade? I don’t remember sending you an invitation. Who exactly dragged you into my party?”

“Adrian Coleman.”

“Pfft.”

My reflexive answer drew laughter from the crowd—and Thompson himself wasn’t even trying to hide his smirk.

“What? Adrian invited you? To my party?”

“If you don’t believe me, why don’t you call him and ask? Adrian’s arriving soon anyway. I’m only here because he asked me to come with him.”

“Really? Doesn’t sound believable at all.”

Thompson sneered as he looked me up and down unpleasantly.

I simply shrugged, ignoring his gaze, which only made him snort dismissively.

“So you’re claiming you’re Adrian’s girlfriend?”

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.

  1. Sign Bet Chapter 22

The pacing of this story is honestly so good. Every chapter just flows perfectly into the next and keeps me hooked.

  2. Sign Bet Chapter 35
I am actually wheezing at Victor’s immediate, cat-like panic the second Juno mentioned bringing Adrian to the game. He was acting so incredibly smug and confident about his guaranteed victory, but the mere thought of another guy going with her completely threw him off. It is so funny how transparent he is about wanting her all to himself.
  3. Sign Bet Chapter 36
I am actually wheezing at Juno dramatically raising her arms like a stage performer to convince those occult nerds that their cursed juice had “ominous spiritual energy” inside it. She literally saved them from severe food poisoning by making up a whole Level-One classified secret on the spot. Her inner monologue about them being better off getting bitten by a radioactive spider was absolute peak comedy.
