Muge Castle always gave off a strange sense of pressure whenever Stella entered. It felt as if the place silently pushed her away, as though saying she had no right to be there, so Stella forced her way in step by step, as if diving underwater.

“Stella, it’s okay. We’re right beside you. And if those ugly humans bother you again, we’ll scold them just like last time.”

“Yeah! This time, I’ll throw an even bigger clump of mud.”

“At their faces too!”

“Yes, right at their faces!”

Seeing Stella’s expression darken, the earth sprites eagerly chimed in one after another, and Stella gave a faint smile. Though invisible to others, their mere presence beside her gave Stella great strength.

At Stella’s whisper, the earth sprites, clearly delighted, busily scurried around the garden searching for the perfect patch of mud to form into a clump.

“Yes, I just had it made. They sent fine silk from home.”

“So that’s why the tailor went to Camellia Castle recently! The color is absolutely stunning. It suits you perfectly, Lilian.”
