“Nonsense! Someone with such vulgar bloodline could never become Empress. Stella isn’t more beautiful or clever than you. There’s no way someone like that could ever become Empress.”

Eliza shuddered at the thought of Stella, who looked exactly like her own mother.

“Well then, if the Emperor has any sense at all, he’d never do such a thing, right?”

“Of course not!”

King Philip strongly opposed Beatrice’s trip to Credion, suspicious even of Princess Anet’s true identity, who had sent that dubious letter.

But Eliza couldn’t possibly let this heaven-sent opportunity slip away.
