I Didn't Really Want to Do Farming! (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 162
Kai stood dazedly before Verdura Castle, staring blankly at the carriage that had halted right in front of him.
His gaze, fixed upon the carriage, appeared as hollow as that of a defeated soldier.
It was a rather familiar carriage, yet he couldn’t recall whose it was—or rather, to be precise, he couldn’t be bothered to think about it at all.
Meanwhile, someone even more familiar than the carriage itself stepped out from within. Only upon seeing Harmann emerge from the carriage in his usual carefree manner did Kai finally remember its owner.
“Your Majesty, why are you standing here like this?”
Harmann asked with a look of genuine concern the moment he stepped down from the carriage, his eyes immediately scanning Kai. Simultaneously, his disapproving glance swept over the shadowy figures standing awkwardly nearby, just as bewildered as the Emperor himself.
The shadows hastily averted Harmann’s gaze, as if urgently trying to convince him that the Emperor’s current dazed state was certainly not their fault.
After all, while His Imperial Majesty embodied fear and reverence, Harmann himself was nothing less than a walking sack of nagging complaints.
Once even slightly provoked, his endless stream of admonishments would pour forth like a waterfall—starting easily, yet never truly ending.
Not even the shadows were exempt from his scolding, though they usually escaped most of it simply because Harmann rarely noticed them.
But now, standing fully exposed in broad daylight under Harmann’s blatant scrutiny, the shadows felt an unprecedented chill run down their spines.
Consequently, without any actual enemy appearing, the shadows instantly scattered in all directions, feigning intense vigilance of their surroundings.
“There’s a dangerous beast over there! Protect His Majesty!”
“It looks absolutely ferocious! Move quickly!”
Harmann stared blankly at the shadows as they vanished, muttering awkwardly while scanning the area they’d pointed to—where only a single squirrel sat on a tree branch, munching contentedly on a fruit.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
