At Esta’s sharp question, Oton flinched but quickly lifted her head and shouted loudly.

“We have no choice if we want to save Stella! We need at least one more person to see us!”

“You fool! Don’t you understand that if they see us, the earth spirits will see us too? Do you even know what that means?!”

Esta pointed furiously with her finger toward the tightly shut window and yelled. Between the two women raising their voices, Ark stomped his feet anxiously, looking back and forth between them.

“I know! I get it! But what can I do?! Stella’s trying to go out there!”

Though Oton continued shouting loudly, she eventually lowered her reddened face in shame, clearly aware of her mistake.

Ark slowly approached Oton, patted her shoulder comfortingly, then tore a piece of his own upper garment and wrapped it around Oton’s finger, which was still dripping blood.

“I understand you. Honestly, I’d have done the same. We had to stop Stella somehow.”

Oton nodded gratefully, then looked with conflicted feelings toward Stella, who was being forcibly laid onto the bed by Mila and Ludina.

Fortunately, Stella seemed to be regaining stability and gradually stopped thrashing about.

At Woo Hoo’s unexpected appearance, even the cries from behind calling Stella’s name abruptly cut off.

James, who had briefly fixed his gaze on the earth spirits due to the sudden change, turned his eyes back to where Woo Hoo had stood—but the figure who had clearly been there just moments ago was nowhere to be seen.

“Huh?”

Instead, nearby earth sprites were seen either shedding tears or wiping their eyes with their sleeves. Sensing something odd, James suddenly lifted his head and stared toward the spot where Will had been standing.
