I Decline the Ex-Boyfriend of the Regretful Male Lead (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 122
Serdis used innocent Lily’s feelings to stir up trouble.
‘He tricked me, claiming he knew my true identity, and burned everything.’
I also told her about Michael, who had pretended to be someone else using letters. Lily, who hadn’t known even that, shed tears profusely, her face utterly devoid of the last bit of affection she’d held for Serdis. Her freshly washed face was wet once again.
“I’m bad too, but Brother Serdis is worse.”
I handed her a warm cup of tea and asked,
“So, right after you gave him the letter, you ended up in the stables?”
“No.”
“Then what?”
“Ever since Sister-in-law went back to the North, Brother’s been acting sensitive. I’d decided to return from the Marquis’s estate, but Brother summoned me to the palace.”
In short, since I hadn’t come down to the capital, he’d sought someone to take his anger out on—and used Lily as an excuse to threaten me.
I let out a deep sigh.
“I never thought he’d go that far. I can’t understand how someone changed so much.”
I never imagined he’d go so far as to kidnap me, even though I was openly married. It’s simply unthinkable by any reasonable standard. If this ever got out, Serdis wouldn’t be able to withstand public opinion. That’s probably why he couldn’t lay a finger on me after my marriage.
“What does he think he’s relying on?”
While I was troubled over his excessive behavior—even for a prince—Lily tapped me lightly.

After Being Cheated On, She Picked Up a Treasure (Female-dominant)
One-line summary: The husband I married on a whim had been secretly in love with me for a long time.
On the day when Jun Shao finally obtained the imperial decree for her marriage, Lan Qu, the person she had admired for six years, defied the decree and ran away.
Her gentleness and devotion, her promise of a lifetime together, were all disregarded by him. Instead, he dreamed of entering the palace to serve the Emperor’s sister as a sixth-rank attendant.
News of this incident spread throughout the capital, and the alleys in front of and behind the Lan mansion were crowded with people who came to watch the commotion.
Jun Shao should have been embarrassed and angry.
But someone stepped in to protect her dignity.
The figure was in a miserable state, yet still possessed an undeniable elegance and handsomeness.
The young lord struggled to climb the wall of the Lan mansion and shouted to her, “If he won’t marry you, I will!”
So, Jun Shao took advantage of the situation and married the person.
She thought the young lord did it to save the Lan family from the crime of defying the imperial decree, but never imagined that from beginning to end, what he coveted was her.
*
After the wedding, Jun Shao felt like she was living in a dream.
Her Wife-master was as beautiful as a fairy in a painting, skilled in the six arts, well-versed in poetry and literature, capable of being gentle and attentive, and also grand and dignified. Most importantly, she was the only one in his heart and eyes.
Jun Shao didn’t know how Lan Shiwu, as a illegitimate son without a father and blessed with beauty, had managed to preserve his purity, recklessly escape, and use his last ounce of strength to ruin his own reputation, all because of his love for her, just to stand before her.
She could only see him gazing at her with eyes full of love, and when she bestowed a name upon him, his eyes shone like stars.
“You have come to me like a weary bird perching on a branch. I shall call you A Qi.”

What type of twisted logic is this? ‘It has no enchantment on it, so any magic could be stored within it’, yes but currently it’s empty like any other jewel. Then Annette reasons, ‘if Violet is casting strange magic on Serdis, perhaps this enchantment could offer him some protection’. How is an empty or blank enchantment supposed to offer anything? So the author wants Hertian to be affected as Serdis is by whatever magic is going on when he activates the ring, yet the author couldn’t come up with a better solution than having our typically intellectually/academically intelligent fl have a devastatingly illogical thought process. Or was there an error in translation?
