I Decline the Ex-Boyfriend of the Regretful Male Lead (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 121
I couldn’t believe it, no matter how long I stared.
That child, who always wore dazzling pink dresses and gazed at me so innocently, was now crouching here in this foul-smelling place, shivering uncontrollably.
“Lily. Anette’s here. Aren’t you going to greet her?”
At Serdis’s words, the child crawled forward on the ground and prostrated herself flat.
Lily?
The Lily who’d told me I’d die if I was late was now crawling through the stable, covered in filth.
“I-I’ll greet you.”
It wasn’t the voice of the Lily I knew, and for a fleeting moment, I even hoped she wasn’t Lily at all. But despite the grime clinging to her, those delicate fingers and that hair were unmistakably hers.
“Lily!”
I collapsed right there and pulled her into my arms, clutching her frail little body—thinner than my own—and stroking her gently.
“What on earth has happened to you, Lily?”
I pulled out my handkerchief and hurriedly wiped her face. Soon, her fair, smooth skin reappeared.
Lily blinked once, then buried her face in my chest and cried out as if weeping.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, sister.”
She kept apologizing to me over and over again.

My Step-brother Is Obsessed With Me (Female-dominant)
A gentle female protagonist vs pitiful in the early stage, and a sick male protagonist in the later stage
Cheng Songer transmigrated into the body of a vicious cannon fodder female supporting character with the same name as her in a female-dominant novel.
In the original story, the cannon fodder female supporting character was inhumane, committing domestic violence, gambling excessively, being lustful, and even wanting to sell her stepbrother to a brothel for money.
As luck would have it, she just happened to transmigrate at this time.
Seeing Cheng Qingzhi biting his lip, enduring the tears in his eyes, looking pitiful, her heart softened.
She stuffed the money back into the Madam’s hand and reached out to him.
“Brother, come home with me.”

What type of twisted logic is this? ‘It has no enchantment on it, so any magic could be stored within it’, yes but currently it’s empty like any other jewel. Then Annette reasons, ‘if Violet is casting strange magic on Serdis, perhaps this enchantment could offer him some protection’. How is an empty or blank enchantment supposed to offer anything? So the author wants Hertian to be affected as Serdis is by whatever magic is going on when he activates the ring, yet the author couldn’t come up with a better solution than having our typically intellectually/academically intelligent fl have a devastatingly illogical thought process. Or was there an error in translation?
