Marquis Schneider looked at his granddaughter-in-law with an awkward expression—as if wondering whether she truly thought he cared about such a trivial sum.

Marien’s azure eyes sparkled.

“Please take it, Marquis. It’s money I earned through hard work.”

Marquis Schneider gazed at her with tender eyes. As he took the envelope, the jingle of coins echoed softly.
