I Beg Your Forgiveness (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 37
“Christoph.”
Marien’s voice trailed off, laced with an uncharacteristic coyness.
Christoph had known from the start that she was drunk—from the moment her cerulean eyes fixed on him with heated intensity.
Whenever that happened, a thrilling shiver ran down his spine. An almost maddening hunger surged within him, making him want to sink his teeth into whatever stood before him.
Christoph slowly swallowed, trying to suppress the rising thirst. When he remained silent, merely gazing at her without a word, Marien’s eyebrows drooped downward.
“Don’t ignore me, Christoph.”
“I’m not ignoring you, Marien. I just lost my words because you’re so adorable when you’re drunk.”
“!”
For an instant, Marien’s eyes widened in surprise. Even in her inebriated state, she looked flustered, as if she hadn’t expected those words.
Then, she firmly shook her head, her eyes narrowing with determination.
“I’m not drunk. I’m perfectly fine.”
Yet contrary to her confident declaration, her upper body was already swaying side to side—wobbling this way, then that. Her usually sharp eyes were half-lidded.
Christoph slowly reached out toward her, with utmost care and caution. After what felt like an agonizingly long wait, his fingertips finally brushed against her cheek.
It was soft. And warm.
Holding his breath, he gently unfurled his curved fingers, moving with the patience of someone approaching a wary stray cat.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
