I Became the First Love of the Impenetrable Male Lead (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
“Rosebelia, are you alright?”
Startled back to my senses by Lucas’s question, I nodded.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.”
The thing was, a squad member had bumped into my shoulder while fleeing in a panic—and of all people, it happened to be Raymond, the burliest knight in the order—and the one who steadied me as I stumbled was none other than Ian.
He’d seemed so far away just moments ago—when had he gotten here?
“Raymond, be more careful! Rose, is your arm okay? Didn’t it pop out?”
As Ian straightened me up, Edwin, who’d somehow already approached, gently shook my arm.
“P-Pop out? You can’t possibly mean I did that?”
Raymond, who’d collided with me and stood frozen in place, widened his eyes in shock.
“I’m fine, Raymond. My shoulder hurts a bit, but my arm didn’t pop out or anything…”
“What? You mean your shoulder might’ve popped out instead of your arm?”
At Edwin’s exaggerated reaction, I saw Raymond’s face turn pale.
Despite his imposing build, Raymond had a surprisingly innocent side.
“Edwin, stop it. Raymond actually believes you.”
At my words, Raymond blinked dazedly.
Only then did Raymond realize Edwin had been joking, and he scratched the back of his head as he approached me.
“Rosebelia, so you’re really okay then?”
“Yeah. You may be strong, but my shoulder isn’t that fragile.”
“Really?”
“That’s what I said.”
Raymond didn’t leave until after I’d rotated my shoulder three full circles, finally reassured.
“Are you truly alright, my lady?”
Ian asked. Feeling his eyes scrutinizing my face, I shrugged.
“Of course I am. I was just startled for a moment.”
“I’m relieved to hear that, but…”
Wait—had I even thanked Ian yet?
“Thanks, rookie.”
“I only did what I had to. It wouldn’t do for a senior to get hurt.”
Seeing the slight upward curve of his lips, I instantly caught the hidden meaning behind his words.
“Yeah, it wouldn’t do to get hurt.”
This was Ian, who’d said he couldn’t forget the moment our swords crossed.
If I got injured, you wouldn’t be able to spar with me again—so you pushed yourself beyond human limits just to get here, right?
I see right through you. Crystal clear.
“You’re Klein, aren’t you?”
Edwin asked.
“Yes, senior.”
“That desire to protect—it was truly admirable.”
“Huh?”
Instead of answering, Edwin just gave a faint smile and glanced between me and Ian.
That smile… why does it feel ominous?
“Lucas and I will take our leave now. Go ahead and have a nice, private chat with Rose.”
Private? Did I hear that wrong?
“Ed? Ian and I don’t have anything else to talk about.”
“But those two over there seem like they might? Well then, we’ll be off.”
What on earth is he talking about?
Come to think of it, did Ian ever clarify that what he’d said to me wasn’t a confession but a challenge to spar?
Could he still be under the impression that I like him…?
“Hey, Edwin!”
It’s not what you think!
“Why is Senior Edwin suddenly stepping away?”
Trending
“Beats me. I don’t really know myself.”
“Could it be…?”
“I’ve got something urgent to attend to, so I’ll take my leave now.”
Leaving Ian, who tilted his head in suspicion, I fled to the knights’ library.
As expected, the library—the quietest spot in the entire order—was completely empty. Though modest in size, it was quite elegantly arranged.
High arched ceilings held evenly spaced amber lamps, and large arched windows stood between the towering bookshelves.
Should I start looking for a book?
As I stepped toward the nearest shelf from the entrance, a gentle breeze slipped through the window gap, causing the lamps to sway lightly.
The draft swirling through the library carried the scent of old books and the faint mustiness of the carpet, brushing past my nose.
Having loved used bookstores and libraries even in my previous life, I couldn’t help but smile at the familiar sensation.
“There should be a book about auras in here somewhere…”
Though I’d hoped for something substantial given this was the order’s own library, books on auras weren’t immediately visible.
Then again, sensing an aura was already difficult enough, and becoming a true Swordmaster by properly wielding one was said to be exceedingly rare.
“‘Lawrence Glazer, the Empire’s Greatest Knight?'”
I reached for a particularly eye-catching book. Cradling its thick volume—easily over a handspan wide—I flipped open the first page.
“‘Lawrence Glazer was the pride of the Glazer family and a legendary knight who entered the annals of Fones Empire history as a Swordmaster. This book chronicles his life.'”
“Found it.”
Relief surged through my chest. Turning from the shelf, I sat at a spacious desk and skimmed the table of contents.
“Aura, something about aura… There!”
“‘This chapter was written based on Lawrence Glazer’s personal records concerning ‘aura,’ left during his lifetime.
Aura is a blessing. Only those who have reached the pinnacle of swordsmanship can sense it. At the sensing stage, the amount flowing through the body is too small to ever be used.
Those who can properly wield aura are called Swordmasters—the highest rank in swordsmanship.
Expelling the aura from within the body is known as aura manifestation, and the color of the manifested aura is said to differ for each swordsman.
Once manifested, an aura’s color never changes until the swordsman’s death.
A blade infused with aura gains destructive power increased by at least dozens of times, said to cut through anything.
Aura enhances physical abilities, though the limits of this enhancement remain unknown.
It is theorized that wielding aura grants a faint self-healing ability. However, this is only speculated from Lawrence Glazer’s records stating his scars and calluses vanished after becoming a Swordmaster, so it remains uncertain.'”
“Self-healing ability?”
Frowning, I glanced down.
Just like the knight Lawrence Glazer, Rosebelia’s hands bore no scars or calluses. Her left hand lacked calluses, but her right was as soft and delicate as someone who’d never held a sword.
Though Rosebelia sometimes wielded a sword with both hands, she usually favored her right—could that mean her aura manifested more strongly through her right hand?
“So aura really is a blessing…”
“‘However, if not properly controlled, aura can instead drain the swordsman’s life force.'”
Blessing my foot. First it heals you, then suddenly it drains your life?
I hurriedly turned the page. There had to be something about how to control aura.
“‘Unfortunately, there is no known method for controlling aura.’ What kind of book is this?”
In Rosebelia’s memories, the monster hunt hadn’t been easy. There’d been a monster that regenerated endlessly unless struck with aura.
Last year, during that hunt, Rosebelia had been caught by Gabriel using aura—exposing her as a Swordmaster.
Before the next monster hunt, I absolutely had to learn to control aura somehow.
Otherwise, I might die during the hunt long before reaching the original story’s ending.
My hand clenched slightly as I closed the book, stirring up a faint cloud of dust.
I waved my arms frantically through the air, but it was no use—my sneezing and coughing had already started.
Taking out my frustration on the book wouldn’t change anything.
Swallowing a sigh that rose to the tip of my tongue, I quickly stood up.

At last, the long-awaited day dawned—the day Daisy and Ian would meet for the first time, the fateful day Daisy’s unrequited love would begin.
In the original story, frail Daisy suddenly fell ill during the eve festival and couldn’t leave her room until the festivities ended.
Her father, Duke Elijah, bought her a rare gemstone to cheer her up, and Daisy used the excuse of commissioning a jeweler to finally gain permission to go out.
What followed was a classic sequence.
On her way out after delivering the gemstone, Daisy briefly got separated from her maid and was surrounded by lowlifes—until Ian, passing by coincidentally, rescued her, thus entangling their fates…

“Rose, what on earth are you doing out in the square?”
“Just stay quiet and hold still for a bit.”
“How long do you expect me to stand here?”
I’d been wandering the square since morning, claiming I’d come out after lunch—but why wasn’t he showing up? I was sure this was the right spot.
“Just a little longer… Edwin?”
Good grief, Edwin had vanished without a trace.
That idiot Ed.
Frustrated, I scanned the area—and finally spotted a girl I assumed was Daisy.
Perhaps because she was a character I’d once adored, I recognized her instantly; she looked exactly as I’d imagined.
Sure enough, the original plot was unfolding as written. Three men who’d been eyeing Daisy from across the street now approached her as she stood alone.
Where on earth did he disappear to without a word?
Could it be that I was wrong all along?
Was that dream where I saw Ian and Rosebelia merely a meaningless fantasy, and the original story truly unchangeable?
Was that why Edwin hadn’t appeared?
Would Ian inevitably show up here to rescue Daisy after all?
My mind was chaos. Torn between confusion and doubt, I anxiously bit my lip.
Not only was Edwin missing—but strangely, I couldn’t spot Ian either.
If Ian appeared here now, the original story would repeat itself…
Daisy would fall for Ian, and Edwin for Daisy.
Their painful unrequited loves would play out once again.
“She’s cute.”
“If you knew who I was, you’d regret treating me so rudely right now.”
“Regret? You should be the one wondering who we are!”
“We only look forward in life. If we just ran off with you now, what could you possibly do?”
What are these guys even saying?
“Whoa, if you want something…”
“Want something? If I asked you to buy me the imperial palace, would you? Anyone can make empty promises like that.”
“If you so much as lay a finger on me, my family won’t stand for it.”
“Oh really? And which family might that be? How grand are you? Tell us your name so we can be impressed.”
Humiliated by the man’s mockery, Daisy’s face flushed red.
Deciding I couldn’t just watch any longer—regardless of whether Ian or Edwin stepped in—I quietly approached them from behind.
“Only looking forward? How utterly admirable.”
Just as the burliest man reached for Daisy’s wrist, I swiftly closed in and pressed my sheathed sword against the back of his neck.
As he collapsed, the gaunt man beside him spun around in panic.
“W-What the—”
“You’d do well to look behind you sometimes too.”
I struck the neck of the man frantically fumbling at his waist.
While he crumpled, foaming at the mouth, the third man—with a long scar beneath his eye—swung his sword at me.
“Who are you?”
“Does that really matter right now?”
Stepping in front of Daisy, I drew my sword.
Holding my finely honed blade pointed downward, I stood still. The man twisted his dark lips into a sneer and charged at me, sword first.
Clang.
The moment his blade met mine, he stared in stunned disbelief as his own sword flew helplessly through the air.
“H-How…?”
As I shrugged and stepped closer, the man stumbled backward, fear etched on his face.
Just as he tried to flee in the opposite direction, I struck the back of his neck with my sheath again.
“Running away would be troublesome.”
In an instant, all three men lay sprawled on the ground. Daisy covered her mouth in shock. Looking down at her wide-eyed, rabbit-like expression, I slowly felt my senses returning.
So… what exactly just happened?

Edwin hadn’t rescued Daisy as I’d hoped, and Ian—the one originally meant to save her—never showed up. Instead, I…
Did that mean the original story had actually changed?
My thoughts refused to settle. I needed to leave this place first and think calmly…
Huh? Why can’t I move?
“Um…”
Looking down, I saw a hand clutching my cloak.
Raising my gaze slightly further, I met soft-looking light brown hair and violet eyes.
Wow, it really is Daisy.
“Yes?”
“Thank you for helping me.”
Daisy herself was speaking to me!
“No problem. Well then, I’ll be on my way…”
“Excuse me, but may I ask your name, sir knight?”
“I’m just a passerby.”
“A passerby with swordsmanship like that? Might you perhaps be a knight of the White Knights Order?”
Seeing her eyes sparkle with overwhelming admiration, I had a sinking feeling.
Something had gone seriously wrong.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
