Ian smoothed his furrowed brow and asked,

“…What kind of contact do you mean?”

“Physical contact—skin touching skin.”

Vincent raised his arm and clapped his palms together to demonstrate.

“And you think that can stabilize an unstable aura?”

“Aura is the energy flowing within the body. To manifest it, you usually push it out through a sword. But must aura always be expelled solely through a sword?”

Manifesting aura through a medium other than a sword.

It was a premise Ian had never considered before, yet it wasn’t an absurd hypothesis. Seeing Ian nod slightly, urging him to continue, Vincent went on.

“I hypothesized that perhaps I could channel aura into another person’s body using the same method as manifesting it through a sword. Of course, the other person would also need to be a Swordmaster—only then could their body safely receive the aura without strain.”

“So that’s why you said this premise requires another Swordmaster?”

“Precisely. I thought that if a stable aura and an unstable aura meet, even temporarily, the unstable aura might calm down.”

“Or it could become even more unstable.”

Vincent readily agreed with Ian’s pointed remark.

“To be honest, I can’t rule out that possibility. But from the records I’ve reviewed, all Swordmasters share the same fundamental traits.”

If aura is essentially the same energy at its core, then an unstable aura meeting a stable one shouldn’t flare up violently.
