Rinat replied with a calm face, as if nothing had happened. The distance between them was barely the width of two palms.

“Shall we head up to the room now?”

I glanced down at his hand, which was still clutching my cloak. I hoped his gaze would follow mine, but his eyes remained fixed stubbornly on some point in midair.

I probably won’t be able to move unless he lets go.
