There was one lesson I’d learned since the last incident at the merchant guild: if something feels suspicious, don’t hesitate—immediately test it with someone trustworthy nearby. Suppressing the sudden surge of tension, I turned my head toward Master beside me, feigning hesitation.

Master looked at me with slightly startled eyes. Since I’d called out via mental transmission, he seemed to reply the same way. Without averting my gaze, I quickly conveyed the rest.
