I Became a Supporting Character in a Martial Arts Novel (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 28
“You must not approach it with the intent to dig into it or break it. Circle around it, wait for an opening, and slip in as if seeping through. Even if it’s unpleasant, you must accept it as part of yourself, if only for that moment. Once it becomes yours, naturally you’ll be able to see everything within it.”
…Even upon reconsidering, those words were truly disagreeable.
To acknowledge that eerie, unmistakably inhuman ‘something’ as part of myself?
It felt even worse knowing now that this ‘something’ had once taken root within me, preparing to control me.
“Even if you accept it, it won’t control you yet. There’s a clear difference between it taking root to dominate you and you merely acknowledging its presence. Remember, you can always withdraw your acceptance and cast it out again. Seize the initiative. Otherwise, you might be devoured. Separate from being controlled, you could even fail to awaken again.”
Honestly, his words were vague, yet that was precisely the problem—I seemed to understand exactly what he meant. It felt more serious precisely because I sensed he wasn’t trying to frighten me. Perhaps it was even more unsettling because he spoke of the curse as if it were a living being.
But even so, I had to do it. Only then could I lift this curse.
No one would willingly accept a life controlled by another. Moreover, since this entity had already occupied my body without permission, it was hardly unrelated to me. I had to resolve this myself.
Suddenly, I recalled Master’s face just before I entered this room.
“…He looked unusually heartbroken.”
His expression had clearly shown sorrow at being unable to help me.
Though it felt belated, whether in the original story or now, he was the kind of person whose life grew suddenly complicated because of a single disciple.
“That’s why I can’t drag this out any longer.”
I knew he’d never think, “I shouldn’t have taken on a disciple,” just because of this incident. But precisely because I felt guilty, I didn’t want him to suffer any further hardship.
Not only Grand Elder, but even Hahyeon—who might be worrying about me somewhere—deserved better.

Made me feel even more sorry for the original owner of this body.
True…I had a similar thought. It’s very heartbreaking to think about that she was actually controlled and commited suicide when we came to realization in the end
- Miririno Chapter 31 — Paragraph 53
There’s that junior disciple.
I think the address needs to be changed in a previous chapter where she was addressed as junior.
- Miririno Chapter 31 — Paragraph 85
It was as if a dam had suddenly burst open, flooding my mind with brilliant spar
That’s what I thought!!! The curse was actually hindering her talent
