Don't Obsess Over A Married Woman (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 53
Above all, there’s no justification.
After all, the contract signed between Viscount Baden and Professor Ernestine is legally valid.
No matter how full of poison-pen clauses it may be, once both parties have exchanged signatures, it means no third party can intervene.
In other words, Viscount Baden cannot be punished through legitimate means.
But then again… hmm?
On the contrary, I think that’s precisely why this method will work so well right now.
What method, you ask?
“Huh?”
“What’s the matter, Professor Ernestine?”
“It’s just that… someone who claims to be my fan sent me a letter, saying they were furious to hear my script won’t be performed next term….”
“Is that really true? It won’t be performed?”
“Oh. I only just found out myself that it won’t be performed. Once I’ve sold the script, what happens afterward is no longer my concern….”
That is indeed the drawback of a full-rights sale contract.
Even so, making it impossible for the sponsored party to terminate a contract that doesn’t even have a fixed term is outright fraud.
It’s practically the same as enslaving someone for life.
