Lu watched from a step away as Ophelia placed flowers before the coffin for the last time.

“So that’s fortunate, at least. Your Majesty, now that you’ve opened the Wall, will you refrain from sending troops for the time being?”

Troops? Lu looked toward the Dragon Lord. He stood with his hands clasped behind his back, watching Hayden.

“For centuries, my Lord, you’ve continually sent troops to Calleta.”

Ah. Lu’s expression changed as she realized she’d been fighting that ‘army’ all along. So the monsters that had forced their way over the Wall were actually the Dragon Lord’s troops?
