At the moment Ha Yeon was watching the news of Chairman Go Pil Sung’s formal indictment at the hospital, chaos had already erupted in Eun Mi’s office over the same report.

“There’s no way? Then *make* one! Do you not understand what I’m saying? That’s exactly why you were hired!”

Eun Mi raised her voice in front of the legal team.

Kwon Jin Han, the youngest attorney on the team, echoed her tone.

“The evidence is overwhelmingly solid. We’ve been completely outmaneuvered. Everything’s been meticulously planned over years—there’s no room left to refute it. What exactly do you expect us to do?”

That was the truth. The documents handed over to the prosecution were deliberately prepared in advance, and the evidence was flawless—engineered to leave no possible escape.

“So you’re telling me we’re just supposed to sit here, stunned, and take it lying down?”

Her voice, strained to the point of tearing, made everyone frown in unison.

“The investigation scope will likely soon expand to include us. It seems even the director won’t be able to avoid being drawn into the probe.”

Upon hearing attorney Park Hee Sun, the legal team leader, speak, the room instantly fell deathly silent.

“Have you at least figured out who—who dared to pull off something like this?”

Eun Mi clenched her teeth, her face twisted like a demon risen from hell, as she spat out the question.

“Naturally, the tip-off was submitted anonymously. Even the prosecution seems reluctant to reveal the informant’s identity. However, based on a photo among the evidence showing Chairman Go and Roy Chen together, we’re certain the person attended the auction in Busan.”

“Busan… and an auction…”
