Covetous Sponsorship (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 37
The car, having left central Seoul, entered the ring expressway and passed through several toll gates.
Ga Eul, who hadn’t been outside Seoul in a long time, sat quietly in the passenger seat, gazing at the passing scenery outside. Then, she glanced sideways at Yeon Woo in the driver’s seat.
‘Are we really going all the way to Namyangju just for dessert?’
It felt good to be out and about after so long. Especially refreshing was the way the urban atmosphere gradually faded from the landscape. Still, it surprised her a little that he’d suggest traveling so far just for dessert. If it had been Joo Ah, maybe she’d understand—but Shin Yeon Woo wasn’t the type for that sort of thing.
Unable to hold back any longer, Ga Eul let out a soft giggle. Hearing her, Yeon Woo glanced over briefly before asking gently,
“Why’s that, Miss Ga Eul?”
“Oh, it’s just…”
After hesitating a moment, Ga Eul spoke her mind honestly.
“It’s my first time going all the way to Namyangju just for dessert—and it’s a little unexpected that you’d be the one suggesting it, Mr. Shin Yeon Woo.”
“Oh, really?”
At her answer, Yeon Woo rubbed his throat lightly, then resumed the conversation as usual.
“A friend recommended this place. They said the dessert is delicious, but the view is even better.”
“Oh, really?”
“You can see the Bukhan River, and there are lots of flowers and trees—I think you’d like them.”
“Huh? How do you know I like flowers and trees?”

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
