“It was a bracelet that granted glory through astonishing power—Father surely hated the idea of someone else wielding that strength, so he must have hidden it away carefully before his death.”

Dimidius’s reasoning made sense. As his son, no one would understand James Belial better than he did.

Orentia absentmindedly fiddled with the Pieta bracelet on her right arm. She would eventually need to destroy this bracelet—once gifted to her by her father—alongside the Daemon bracelet, yet she already felt reluctant. After all, to live one’s life under the blessing of a god was truly an honor.
