Delina wanted to investigate the mysterious window that had suddenly appeared, but she couldn’t. Moments later, a physician burst into her room with a loud commotion, gasped upon seeing Delina clinging to Gideon, and began examining her body thoroughly.
Of course, there was nothing wrong with Delina’s body. Thus, the morning commotion ended with the explanation that Delina had simply suffered a terrible nightmare.
“Did you sleep well, Delina?”
“Come, sit down quickly. The soup’s getting cold.”
When Delina came down to the dining room for breakfast, her aunt Charlotte greeted her with a smile. Right beside her sat her uncle Niel.
“Oh…”
“What’s wrong? Why don’t you sit down already?”
Delina stared blankly at the two of them, whom she hadn’t seen in a long while, then gave a small smile.
“Yes. Did you sleep well?”
Beside the two sat Delina’s cousins, Jake and Jane. They glanced at Delina with faintly sour expressions before returning their attention to their meal.
“I heard from Lily you had a nightmare. Are you all right?”
“Yes. I’m fine now.”
At Charlotte’s words, Delina smiled faintly and turned her gaze toward Gideon, who was eating across from her.
“Eat plenty, older brother.”
“Cough!”
At Delina’s affectionate words toward Gideon, Niel, who had been spooning soup into his mouth, suddenly choked and began coughing. Charlotte blinked in surprise. Gideon’s hand, holding his fork, trembled slightly. Even Jake and Jane looked shocked.
“…Older brother?”
“Yes. I thought it might finally be time to start calling you that.”
“Well… I suppose… that’s true, but…”
Amid the bewildered reactions of everyone else, only Delina remained calm as she began eating her bread. At Delina’s demeanor, Charlotte awkwardly rolled her eyes.
“Well then. It’s wonderful for siblings to be so affectionate with each other. That’s good.”
After a moment, Niel finally pulled himself together and managed a faint smile in agreement. Yet, he leaned toward the nearby servant and whispered very quietly,
“Tell the physician to examine Delina’s head as well. It seems she must have hit it quite badly.”
“Yes, sir.”
While Niel and the servant spoke seriously, Gideon, still looking utterly unaccustomed to the situation, suddenly cried out as if he’d realized something.
“I get it! You’re just trying to win my favor because of your birthday present—you want Uncle to give you a puppy!”
Ah, that’s right.
Hearing her birthday was coming soon, Delina quietly tried to gauge exactly when “now” was.
“Well… I don’t really care about presents.”
“…What?”
“I already have everything I need—my beloved older brother.”
“…?”
Charlotte and Gideon’s eyes darted wildly as they watched Delina finish her sentence with a bright smile. Niel and the servant exchanged another serious conversation of their own.
The meal, filled with shock and horror for everyone except Delina, finally ended. Back in her room, Delina quietly stared at the window floating before her eyes.
Hmm…
Delina’s attempts, seated at her desk with the window open, to try various things all ended in failure. Her brow furrowed at the notification stating her ability remained locked.
“If the ability hasn’t unlocked, that means there must be unlock conditions…”
She didn’t actually know why the window had appeared before her eyes. But it clearly served as undeniable proof that she had returned to the past. The notification still only bore the message instructing her to stop the five masterminds.
Those five masterminds… of course…
Delina shrank her shoulders as she recalled each of the five in turn.
Soon, she asked Lily to fetch various documents from the library.
Then, picking up a pen, she searched for information on the people she remembered. She meticulously analyzed everything—from general imperial knowledge to the current noble family trees. Since she had returned to the past, much of the information had changed.
“The Helium imperial family tree… Found it.”
Among everything, Delina focused especially on the genealogies of the imperial and noble families. She carefully scanned through the current imperial lineage.

Found him.
At the sight of Ashud’s name, Delina’s grip tightened. It felt extremely strange to see him referred to as Crown Prince Ashud, when he had always been known to her as Emperor Ashud.
So this crown prince would later become an utterly terrifying tyrant.
Considering his current age, he was probably just a child like herself. That meant there was still time.
“Next…”
Delina flipped through the noble family trees. The first page showed the Grand Duchy of Ulphrim, but Calix’s name was nowhere to be seen.
Was Calix not here yet?

Calix was unmatched in swordsmanship—and his notoriety was equally immense.
It was said that wherever Calix went, blood flowed like streams and corpses piled up like mountains. Rumors even claimed the sword he wielded constantly dripped with blood.

Geographically, the Ulphrim Grand Duchy, where Calix resided, lay in the northern part of the empire. Though not terribly far, Delina frowned, knowing nothing more about that house.
Let’s move on for now.
She needed to find out, at the very least, where those five were right now. As she turned the pages, Delina’s attention landed on the Diamon Ducal House.
As expected, he wasn’t in the family tree here either.
‘Noah Diamon.’
Unlike other noble-born children whose origins were clear, Noah wouldn’t be publicly declared heir to the Diamon Ducal House until several years from now. Though many gossiped about this sudden heir, no one dared speak openly of it.
Of course—they wouldn’t. The Diamon Ducal House’s influence was simply too immense.
Already a high-ranking noble house, the Diamon family’s unseen influence was staggering.
So much so that it was said, “All rumors in the empire pass through the Diamon Ducal House.” The intelligence guild they operated held unimaginable power.
There were even rumors they possessed more wealth than the imperial family itself—though only they would know for sure.
Later, when Noah became Duke Diamon, his involvement in illicit activities and eventual rise as head of the Dark Guild were only possible thanks to the house’s guild network.
This won’t be easy.
If the Diamon Ducal House was currently hiding and raising Noah in secret, then Delina finding him would be nearly impossible. As the task grew increasingly difficult, her sighs only deepened.
Still, at least she was somewhat familiar with this place—that was fortunate.
Next, Delina examined the family tree of the Elpisha Marquisate.
‘Vansent Elpisha.’
Of course, Vansent wouldn’t join the Elpisha family until later, so his name wasn’t in the current records either. But Delina knew Vansent well. He was said to be a prodigy coveted by every educator—truly one of the empire’s rarest geniuses.
Though, admittedly, everything he did with that genius mind was deeply unsettling.
Rumors even claimed countless people had died from his experiments. Some said they’d rather die by Calix’s hand than Vansent’s—he knew precisely how to inflict maximum suffering before killing someone.
“Well, I understand this much at least…”
‘Zen.’
Finally, Delina thought of the hardest one to locate. Unlike the other four, Zen was the only one born a slave. Thus, his current whereabouts were completely unknown.
He was definitely a slave from a defeated nation.
Though trading people was normally forbidden, auctions of war captives were tacitly permitted. Therefore, Zen was likely in a slave market.
Later, he’d rampage through entire streets like a lawless outlaw.
Not a man—a beast.
Anyone who’d seen Zen even once would say as much. That was how fiercely he swept through the back alleys, leaving trails of blood in his wake.
“Hoo…”
Having roughly sorted through all five, Delina slumped weakly against her chair, drained of all energy.
But there was something else demanding her attention even more right now.
Her family, laughing and chatting together over breakfast—utterly harmonious.
Niel and Charlotte had taken in Delina and Gideon after their biological parents died in an accident several years ago.
Viewed only at face value, this was perfect. Even the occasional harassment from Jake and Jane—who seemed resentful that their own parents favored Gideon and Delina—was tolerable.
But…
She could never forget them—the ones who tried to kill her and her brother the moment their grandfather died and the title passed to them.

The kids are really cute!! They are only 12, but they still have childish tendencies while still being powerful. Truly good luck to Del, especially with the Duke having an unusual fondness with training the kids. Cause what do you mean your trying to X a child??
