“Who am I? Where am I?”

Hye Ju was standing at the pier, battered by the wind. Unlike the tourists gathered in small groups around her, she was dressed in a full suit. As she swept her windblown hair back with one hand, clutching a shoulder bag stuffed with documents, a wave of reality hit her hard.

Today, I’m going on a business trip to the island. Alone with Kang Joo Won.

Of all days, the weather had to be tear-jerkingly bright and clear. Though the wind blew fiercely, the sky was utterly free of fine dust—clean enough to belong in a picture book.

Why on earth was she on a business trip on a day when everyone else went out for leisure? And worse, stuck with that difficult man, just the two of them—it weighed heavily on her mind. That’s why she’d barely slept last night.

“Hmm… still can’t shake off the drowsiness.”

She’d dozed off slightly on the express bus ride here, leaving her head feeling foggy. Checking Joo Won’s message saying he’d arrive soon, Hye Ju glanced toward the parking lot.

A large SUV glided smoothly into the pier and stopped at the vehicle-loading area past the parking lot. Joo Won stepped out of the car.

“Huh? That’s not his usual car.”

Hye Ju tilted her head, puzzled, watching Joo Won arrive in a big SUV instead of the sedan he normally drove to work.

Moments later, Joo Won emerged from the vehicle dressed in a crisp white dress shirt and dark gray slacks. Tucking his sunglasses into his shirt pocket as he stepped out, he looked as polished as a magazine spread. From a distance, his striking height seemed to shine.

“Wow, he’s seriously handsome.”

She heard a group of female students waiting nearby whispering as they stared at him.

“Where? Where?”
