Eun Su’s gaze grew soft.
“Are you suggesting we go somewhere darker and more secluded?”
“Yeah. It’s darker and more secluded, so we can see the stars better.”
Ju Han pulled Eun Su’s hand, which he’d been holding, into his pocket and led her along.
They walked down a bit toward the convenience store and then turned onto a side path. It was the place where she’d seen the swimming pool during the day.
She remembered that it seemed to be filled with water in the summer, but now it was completely empty, with only dry fallen leaves scattered inside.
“Just up to here… Okay, look.”
Ju Han cupped Eun Su’s ear and gently tilted her head back.
The moment the night sky filled her view, Eun Su forgot to make a sound and simply let her mouth fall open.
So this was what people meant when they said the stars were about to pour down—the sky densely packed with stars like this.
She’d already been amazed by how many stars there were when she looked up from near the campfire, but that paled in comparison to seeing them from the darkness.
