At the words “Just stay over,” and even more so at the offer of only one room, Eun Su flinched. In contrast, Ju Han responded casually without batting an eye.

“Here we go again. Every time we say we’ll stay over, you immediately pull out the alcohol. We have to go to work tomorrow, you know.”

“What a bore.”

Writer Hwang glared at Ju Han and waved his hand dismissively.

“Forget it, you rascal. Anyway, I can’t drink today. Ever since the day before yesterday, I’ve had indigestion from something I ate—it just won’t go away.”

That explained it. Earlier, Eun Su had been puzzled when he set aside the cookies and bread she and Ju Han brought, saying he’d eat them later despite seeming pleased to receive them. Worry flickered in the corners of Ju Han’s eyes.

“Have you been to the hospital?”

“I already took medicine a while ago. It’s just a bit of indigestion—nothing serious.”

Even so, Eun Su gave him a concerned look. Writer Hwang smiled as if to say he was fine and then made a phone call.

“This guy isn’t picking up. His house is right down here, so I’ll go check it out. Don’t worry—just sit tight for now.”

Before they could say anything, Writer Hwang walked out the front gate, leaving only Ju Han, Eun Su, PD Park, and the Assistant Director inside.

Seeing Ju Han and Eun Su sit cautiously back down at the far end of the floor, PD Park quietly approached.

“Could I steal this intermission for just one quick interview?”

“Oh, sure.”

Ju Han and Eun Su, who had been sitting a bit apart, straightened up and moved slightly closer. PD Park adjusted the camera position and spoke carefully.
