A child—an existence so tiny and fragile it hardly deserved the name. But not knowing what else to call it, she simply referred to it as a child, as others did.

She realized too late; she lacked the strength to care for it, and having nothing to share, that child quietly passed away alongside her. How strange. She had returned, and Pheon had returned—so why hadn’t the child?
