How did it come to this? He’d only meant to hold her and comfort her when he heard the front door open. He’d only wanted to soothe someone who was surely scared.

That was how it started—genuinely, with nothing but concern for Jae In, who must have been so upset. He gently patted her back and shoulders with pure intent.

But then Tae Seo’s eyes flared with heat the moment he met Jae In’s gaze—her eyes glistening with tears, looking up at him. He’d tried to suppress the primal instinct surging like an animal’s, gritting his teeth, telling himself this wasn’t the time.

“More.”

“Hm?”

“More… hold me tighter.”

That uncharacteristic plea shattered his self-control. Leaning down wasn’t enough—he scooped her up and kissed her.

Worried she’d keep collapsing, gasping for breath, he eventually sat her on the entryway console and kissed her deeply, as if burrowing into her.

“Mmm…”

Even her faint exhale tasted sweet. Her small, plump lips accepting him made him crave even more. He felt ravenous—as if swallowing Yoon Jae In whole still wouldn’t be enough.

He’d lived his whole life thinking he had no sexual desire. Yet just locking eyes with Yoon Jae In sent electric shivers down his spine. Merely catching her scent heated his blood.

That much, he could understand. But damn it—no one ever told him his fingertips and palms would turn out to be such sensitive spots.

Every time he touched Jae In, his breathing grew rougher. When her smooth hair slid between his fingers, or when her soft cheeks and delicate neck brushed against his palms, his core tensed.
