“Chairman, that’s too harsh. I learned by watching you in my youth.”

“How laughable. Compared to me in my younger days, you couldn’t even measure up to the tip of my toe.”

Chang Jung’s voice carried clear displeasure, as if offended by Su Cheol’s audacity to even compare himself.

Chang Jung covered his mouth with his palm, then coughed several times. Wiping away the blood on his lips without hiding it, he let out a scornful snort.

Chang Jung showed no attempt to conceal that he was nearing death—in fact, he carried himself with unusual dignity.

“My words are too harsh? I merely stated facts—what’s excessive about that? Or are all your own actions not excessive? Don’t be so angry. You’re simply getting back now what you’ve long owed.”

Su Cheol ground his teeth. Chang Jung was now just a frail old man who’d collapse with the slightest push from him. Maybe he should just bring him down right now. After all, money could always silence any witnesses.

Would it really matter if Chang Jung’s few remaining days ended a little sooner?
