Everyone seemed unusually busy getting ready to leave work today.

It was because they were going on a joint overnight retreat before the new model development kicked off.

Three out of the four teams involved in the project had decided to strengthen teamwork with a two-day, one-night trip together.

“Why does the R&D team skip it every year?”

Sa Rang, standing up to tidy her desk, asked Na Young sitting across from her.

The new model project consisted of her own Development Planning Team, along with the Product Planning Team, Sales Team, and R&D Team.

Yet again, the R&D team hadn’t joined last year’s retreat either.

“Researchers usually just stick together among themselves. It’s just their nature—you know how engineering types aren’t exactly the most sociable.”

Sa Rang nodded in agreement.

She wondered whether both Na Young and herself had been placed in the Development Planning Team rather than R&D precisely because they were the opposite personality type.

Lost in thought, Sa Rang glanced sideways at Do Han.

She couldn’t help but wonder how this man had ended up on their team.

He seemed the kind of person who cared little about social connections—so much so that even the notoriously harsh Manager Park from Product Planning admitted he was a tough nut to crack.

But then Sa Rang quickly shook her head.

She’d momentarily forgotten that he was actually the founder of his own business.
