The bathroom Yura had entered for a half-bath was filled with heat even hotter than the water. The two figures, exchanging labored breaths, raced toward the finish line before collapsing limply.

Min Woo turned the faucet to raise the temperature of the cooled water. The sound of rushing water echoing through the bathroom muffled their hearing. As he firmly pressed down on Hye Rim’s shoulders—massaging them gently while she lay face-down in the tub catching her breath—she let out a low moan of discomfort.

“It was pretty noisy and chaotic, wasn’t it?”

“Yeah, it’s unfolding quite dramatically.”

Around lunchtime, IF Management had officially announced in the press their termination of Oh Se Jin’s contract, stirring up a storm of controversy. Min Woo already knew that the person who’d spearheaded that decision was none other than Joo Hye Rim.

Oh Se Jin hadn’t done anything right, yet watching an artist fall so disgracefully like this wasn’t exactly pleasant either. Though he thought there might have been a better way to handle it, part of him also felt it was poetic justice.

And the woman at the center of this turmoil—Team Leader Jin Yoo Ra—kept flashing through his mind.

Min Woo had already gotten a heads-up from Hye Rim, so he’d wanted to connect her with an artist to fill the vacant performance slot. But Yoo Ra, seeming burdened by it, had firmly refused his suggestion.

After incidents like this, most artists understandably hesitated to step into such a fraught situation due to all the complications involved.

Finding a replacement performer was Team Leader Jin’s responsibility, so Min Woo could clearly picture her struggling alone. He still felt uneasy about having stayed silent, even though he knew how Oh Se Jin’s story would end.

“Team Leader Jin seems to be in a tough spot.”

“That’s exactly why I’m bringing this up.”

“Hmm?”

Hye Rim turned her head and smiled playfully as she proposed,

“Don’t you have someone among your artists who could fill in?”
