“Thank you for coming.”

Yura’s expression turned sour as she watched Joo Hye Rim bow deeply. She wondered why Hye Rim had specifically summoned her here.

But her thoughts about Hye Rim didn’t last long—Oh Se Jin was approaching her with a lingering, intense gaze.

Fortunately, unfamiliar security guards stepped in to block Oh Se Jin’s movement.

His eyes brimmed with visible irritation, clearly struggling to suppress the urge to yell at them right then and there. Pretending not to notice, Yura quietly shifted her position from behind CEO Baek to the side, trying to keep her distance from Se Jin.

Representative Songrim, Yura, and Oh Se Jin sat facing each other. Yura deliberately fixed her gaze on Joo Hye Rim, who sat in the seat of honor.

Her heavy makeup paired with a confident expression made her appear arrogant. That hadn’t been the impression Yura got when she’d seen her before—Hye Rim had changed so much that it felt almost uncomfortable now.

“We’re old acquaintances, aren’t we?”

Hye Rim asked cheerfully, prompting Yura to recall their contract from several years ago.

“We met once before, regarding an artist performance contract.”

“Oh, right then. You’re still incredibly beautiful.”

“Thank you for the compliment.”

As Yura gave a slight bow, Jin Ho’s stiff and dry voice cut in beside her.

“What exactly is it you want to say?”

Hye Rim closed her lips tightly as if drawing all eyes toward her, then stared silently at everyone seated around the room.
