Back in the hotel room, Se Jin, who hadn’t moved an inch, was deep in thought over who could have exposed his hidden affairs. The only people who knew were the women involved, Joo Hye Rim, his assigned lawyer, and Jin Woo.

Aside from the women themselves, everyone else belonged to IF Management—none of them would do something that would spit in their own face.

Yet it also made no sense that the victims had suddenly gone to the press now. There was nothing for them to gain by reopening the matter—they’d already taken money in exchange for their silence.

As Se Jin ran through various possibilities, he suddenly remembered Baek Lee Hyun staring at him with a chilling gaze. If anyone was capable of causing chaos—even at the cost of ruining Yura’s company—it was him.

“Right, why didn’t I think of that sooner? The only bastard who could stir up this kind of mess is him.”

Se Jin was now certain it was Baek Lee Hyun’s doing. After all, Baek Lee Hyun had threatened him long ago with eyes full of murderous intent.

It had happened on a day when Se Jin was blissfully happy with Yura.

He instantly recognized the unfamiliar man who appeared in the practice room—anyone could see he looked exactly like Yura. It was Jin Yoo Gun, Yura’s older brother.

Sitting across from each other in a quiet café, Yoo Gun calmly spoke with a mixture of reluctance and awkwardness on his face.

“Call it quits here. If our father finds out, you’ll be finished in this industry. I’m saying this for your own good.”

It wasn’t a long conversation, and the flat, monotonous sentence didn’t even sound particularly threatening. After delivering just those words, Yoo Gun turned away with a bitter expression.

Yura had always described her brother as indecisive and soft-hearted—frustratingly so—but also as a precious older brother who constantly worried about her.

To Se Jin’s eyes as well, Yoo Gun seemed like a man who embodied both the ease and generosity of someone who had everything. That, in turn, twisted something deep inside Se Jin.

Despite coming from a completely different background, Yoo Gun was neither arrogant nor shallow—Se Jin felt both admiration and envy toward him.

“Tch, what a goody-goody guy.”
