While his teammates were growing curious about the romance between the two, Yura was venting her full-blown frustration directly at Lee Hyun without holding back.

“Why did you butt into our conversation and ruin the flow?”

“So you planned to keep it secret from the team?”

“As much as possible, yes. After all, you promised not to let my face appear in the media.”

Despite Yura’s scolding, Lee Hyun kept smiling and casually glanced around the office, acting as if his actions were no big deal.

“People who need to know already do. Even CEO Baek’s secretarial office is aware of your existence. If you insist on keeping it secret, you’ll only end up facing complaints from the team later.”

Lee Hyun’s comment, which sounded as if he were doing her a favor like a cat playing with a mouse, only made Yura more annoyed. She wondered if someone as busy as him really needed to come all the way to the office just to declare himself as her fiancé.

“Whether they hear it or not is my problem.”

“I don’t like it.”

Lee Hyun’s firm response made Yura belatedly reconsider his position. It wouldn’t be long before their relationship became public—Yura herself knew there was no such thing as a forever secret.

Therefore, the criticism and resentment directed at her wouldn’t be just a personal matter anymore.

It could easily turn into criticism against CH. And that didn’t sit well with Yura either—nobody would feel good about causing CH or others to be criticized because of themselves.

Just as Yura began to wonder if she’d been overly sensitive and started feeling inexplicably guilty, Lee Hyun perched himself on the desk and spoke in a serious tone.

“I don’t like not being able to freely see my wife.”

For a moment, Yura blinked slowly, doubting her ears. Could this man casually calling her his “wife” really be Baek Lee Hyun?
