A Gentle Intruder (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
When I came to my senses, I had entered his space. Da Jung thought this might be a dream. She was in a state of semi-disorientation, having partly lost her grip on reality.
In front of her eyes, Lee Jae Ho moved back and forth holding a coffee cup.
“Do you like coffee?”
“Yes.”
“Good.”
What exactly was good? Lee Jae Ho was making coffee—for her.
Da Jung shook her head vigorously. If this was a dream, she just wanted to wake up already. But the more she shook her head, the clearer her mind became—and yet Lee Jae Ho still didn’t vanish from her sight.
So it wasn’t a dream.
That meant she’d abandoned Lee Jae Ho’s fan cafe to do a month-long seaside stay—and here Lee Jae Ho was.
For a while, Da Jung simply took in Jae Ho’s figure as if watching TV. She’d known his shoulders were broad, but seeing them in person felt unrealistically imposing.
The dense muscles filling out his shoulders, torso, and forearms were breathtakingly beautiful—almost fatally so. This was exactly the body she’d declared every day she’d die happy if she could just touch it once.
She couldn’t breathe.
“Make yourself comfortable.”
When their eyes met, Jae Ho spoke gently. Da Jung couldn’t look away from those eyes that seemed to pierce straight through her soul. As she kept staring, he gave another soft chuckle.
He’d lost his mind. Why was he smiling like that?
Da Jung quietly swallowed. Though she’d seen Lee Jae Ho countless times before, she’d never encountered him in such a relaxed setting—and so everything felt utterly unfamiliar.
All she’d ever seen of the real Lee Jae Ho was him quickly passing through event venues or slipping out of airports wearing a cap pulled low over his face.
The longest she’d ever seen him in person was during fan signing events… but back then, he’d been meticulously styled from head to toe, making him look completely different from how he appeared now.
“This is the first time I’ve seen him this natural.”
It felt strange—as if this weren’t the Lee Jae Ho she’d known at all. Yet at the same time, there was something oddly familiar about him.
It was a peculiar sensation, as if she’d seen him long before he became this celebrity. Especially his eyes—they seemed almost like…
A hazy shadow from some obscured past flickered like mist.
She kept having these bizarre thoughts, even though they made no sense.
“How could I possibly have known him before!”
My brain’s gone crazy today, Da Jung concluded. There was no way Lee Jae Ho could feel personally familiar to her. His past was shrouded in mystery—so much so that even his high school was unknown—but rumors had long circulated, starting from financial gossip sheets, that he was a chaebol heir.
Of course, the chaebol theory was probably exaggerated—but if rumors like that existed, he was clearly from a wealthy family. That must be why he’d graduated from the famed Wharton School. The tuition alone couldn’t have been cheap.
He really was that extraordinary.
Today was simply a dreamlike day—a day she’d accidentally tumbled into a strange world—and that was why these odd thoughts kept surfacing.
“There’s a really good coffee machine here at this pension.”
“Yeah.”
More composed than before, Da Jung replied awkwardly. Then she slowly expanded her gaze to take in the entire living room. Since the houses shared the same layout, the interiors were nearly identical—except for the sofa, which was the only difference.
Her accommodation had a deep yellow sofa, but this one was blue. She made a small mental note about how just one sofa could so dramatically change a home’s atmosphere.
A coffee cup was placed before her eyes.
“I hope it suits your taste. It’s good beans.”
“Thank you.”
Da Jung lifted the cup and took a sip. Just as he’d said, the flavor was excellent. A faint smile touched her lips.
“Then… shall we properly introduce ourselves now?”
“Huh?”
“I’m Lee Jae Ho.”
The moment he set his cup down, his hand suddenly extended toward her. Da Jung’s eyes widened. She knew it was just a casual handshake, yet she couldn’t bring herself to reach out immediately. Touching that hand felt like it might electrocute her to death.
His large, firm knuckles and long fingers seemed to brush against her bare skin just by looking at them. If merely seeing it felt like this, what would actually holding it do to her? Maybe her heart would burst right out of her chest. And Da Jung still wanted to live a little longer.
“What’s wrong? Embarrassed by my hand?”
“!”
Was… was that just aegyo? Just now, that tone of voice…
I’m going to faint…
Da Jung suddenly felt as dizzy as if she’d woken up after a night of heavy drinking. In the end, she impulsively reached out and quickly shook his hand.
“I-I’m Yoon Da Jung.”
She hastily pulled her hand back and immediately grabbed her coffee cup, raising it to her lips in a flustered rush. She gulped down the coffee without even noticing it was hot. Her ears grew warm—surely from drinking something so hot.
[What if you met Lee Jae Ho privately?]It was a common fan question. Da Jung, who’d once boasted she’d hold his hand, hug him, and even link arms with him, now couldn’t even breathe properly. She let out a hollow laugh at how pathetic she was.

“Yoon Da Jung.”
Unaware of her inner turmoil, Jae Ho softly repeated her name and gave a quiet smile.
“That’s a pretty name.”
“Ah… yes.”
“You’re pretty, Miss Da Jung.”
“Y-yes. Yes… wait, what?”
Surprised, she watched as he smiled again. It was odd—he wasn’t known as an actor who smiled this much. He’d always projected a cold, arrogant image, yet his usual self seemed unexpectedly cheerful…
Could… could I even think he’s cute?
“But… are you maybe my anti-fan?”
Seeing her silence, he asked seriously. Da Jung, who’d been chattering endlessly in her mind, gaped in shock. How could he possibly misunderstand like that!
“You’re so quiet—I wondered if you disliked me.”
Anti-fan? Her, who prided herself on being in the top 1% of Lee Jae Ho’s most devoted fans?
She couldn’t admit she was a fan, yet she couldn’t deny it either—it was the definition of an uncomfortable spot.
The reason she couldn’t speak up was because she knew well how fiercely Lee Jae Ho guarded his private life. The moment he realized she was an obsessive fan, he’d surely feel deeply uncomfortable.
Anyway, no matter what, she absolutely couldn’t be mistaken for an anti-fan. She’d rather die than that.
“No, I… I think you’re a great actor, Mr. Lee Jae Ho.”
In the end, Da Jung gave a strangely awkward reply.
“That’s a relief. I was worried you hated me because you weren’t smiling.”
“Oh, no! Never! Absolutely not! How could I—I mean, I…”
She flapped both hands wildly, spouting nonsense, but Lee Jae Ho just stared at her without stopping her. Da Jung suddenly imagined how ridiculous her flailing hands must look.
“So… I mean… I don’t dislike you, Mr. Lee Jae Ho.”
Even a toddler just learning to speak would sound more logical than this. Yoon Da Jung, what on earth are you saying…
“I see. So you don’t dislike me—but you don’t particularly like me either. That’s how most people feel, I guess.”
Lee Jae Ho glanced at his coffee cup and gave a slightly bitter smile. Why did his smile taste bitter? Was it because she neither disliked nor particularly liked him?
But since they’d inevitably cross paths here for a while, revealing she was a fan would burden him. She didn’t want to cause him any worry about his privacy being exposed.
“W-well, I admire your acting—you’re a great actor, so I do like you… I mean, as an actor!”
A few curious questions popped into her mind: Did he have other schedules after the last movie shoot? How did he end up here at this pension? Was he alone? How long would he stay…? But Da Jung didn’t have the courage to ask any of them directly.
“I came here because I needed a break. I’d been working nonstop for nearly three years. I wanted somewhere quiet, and my manager found this place. I used to visit Taean quite often.”
As if reading her mind, he smoothly answered first. Da Jung unconsciously nodded in response.
“Oh, right. You just finished filming a movie recently…”
“How do you know that?”
Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump.
Da Jung’s heart, which had just begun calming down, started racing again. It felt like her heart was about to either leap out of her chest or sink straight through the floor.
Seriously—how would I know that? What should I even say?
“I… I think I saw a news article recently. An article.”
Now there was no more coffee left to drink. Da Jung fixed her wandering gaze on the empty cup and cursed herself inwardly.
“That’s strange. The movie’s still far from release—there shouldn’t be many articles yet. And I don’t remember doing any interviews.”
“Well… I just happened to…”
A soft chuckle reached her ears, and Da Jung slightly lifted her head. Had she heard wrong? Lee Jae Ho looked perfectly expressionless.
Or… was there the faintest hint of a smile at the corner of his lips? She couldn’t tell.
“I guess you could’ve just happened to find out.”
He brushed it off as if it didn’t matter much. Da Jung silently exhaled in relief. Fortunately, her heart was still inside her body.
Meeting Lee Jae Ho like this…
She’d never even dreamed of it. The most blissful scenario Da Jung had imagined was him remembering her name during a fan signing event. Of course, she knew it was a delusional fantasy—but dreams were allowed to be unrealistic.
“But Lee Jae Ho has a nice personality too.”
It was a relief to know he wasn’t just putting on a show for the cameras. She hadn’t expected him to be this considerate—offering tea to someone he’d just met. She’d assumed he’d be somewhat indifferent and cold.
His eyes and body screamed “bad boy,” yet he was this gentle… It was sweet enough to melt her heart—but suddenly, Da Jung felt afraid.
“This isn’t entirely a good thing…”
She didn’t want to be privately charmed by him so unprepared. If these moments continued, it was only a matter of time before she fell for Lee Jae Ho the man, not just Lee Jae Ho the celebrity—and that would be the most tragic event possible in her life.
“Why put an untouchable man in your heart?”

She had no desire for heart-wrenching love. Life had already given her enough trials, and she was thoroughly sick of pain. While Lee Jae Ho was partly why she kept refusing Kyung Mi’s blind dates, the bigger reason was her defense mechanism—she simply didn’t want to give her heart to any man.
She was too afraid of the heartbreak that followed farewells to even consider starting something. Losing someone felt like having your heart ripped apart.
Lee Jae Ho was the same. As a fan, admiring him from afar was enough. Da Jung deliberately steeled her heart and kept her expression neutral.
He’d said he was here to rest, so he’d probably stay two or three days—maybe a week at most. Though the situation would be awkward, seeing that picture-perfect face a few more times could even be considered lucky. She just had to endure it for a few days.
It wasn’t like she’d spend the whole month here with Lee Jae Ho—it was just temporary. After that, she’d finally have time completely to herself…
“How long will you be staying, Miss Da Jung? I plan to stay for about a month.”
Jae Ho shattered all of Da Jung’s thoughts in an instant.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
