A Gentle Intruder (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 28

Jae Ho dropped by a shop to finish his makeup and immediately headed to the studio without a moment to catch his breath. Byung Hoon, tense from this rare marathon schedule, gripped the steering wheel tightly.

“Wow. It’s been so long since I actually worked—I’m exhausted. Hyung, aren’t you tired?”

“I’m fine. Once the interview starts, you take a nap.”

Soo Mi, the stylist who’d joined them midway, didn’t hold back her praise, saying Jae Ho looked even more handsome than she remembered. She studied his still strikingly handsome face from every angle.

“You’ve gotten even better-looking. And you’re smiling more, too. What’s going on? Did you get a girlfriend, Oppa?”

An unguarded smile tugged at the corner of his lips, and Jae Ho lowered his head slightly. He worried how he’d ever keep acting if his feelings showed this clearly on his face—but luckily, Soo Mi didn’t seem to notice.

“Well, come on. What woman would bother with Lee Jae Ho? He’s like a monk. Anyway… Oppa, your hair’s gotten a bit long. Maybe you should’ve trimmed it. Lift your chin up a bit?”

Jae Ho did his best to control his expression and looked straight ahead.

“It’s not quite long enough to need a cut… Still, compared to when we shot ‘The Man in Gray,’ I guess I look a bit softer now. Do you think it’s okay? It’s a different vibe from my movie character.”

“This length is fine. We can go as-is.”

“It’s weird. Why’s this oppa smiling all the time?”

Soo Mi muttered dryly as she packed up her makeup bag.

The lead trio of “The Man in Gray” gathered together for the first time in a long while: Lee Jae Ho, Ko Sang Hyuk, and Woo Min Jae. All three were the same age. Though they’d been awkward around each other at first, they grew close during filming and could now legitimately call themselves friends.

Though the film wasn’t scheduled to premiere until next spring—leaving plenty of time—they’d booked this interview early because of Jae Ho. He sensed that a long break might be coming his way soon.
