A Fallen Holy Knight Is Obsessed With Me (12 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 12
Regardless, Kasha did not stop walking.
Simon cried out once more.
“…Everything you’ve done so far! Everything you’ve created! I know it all. I know everything!”
Kasha halted.
Thinking his threat had worked, Simon raised his voice even louder.
“I don’t know why you’re treating me like this, but we’re not the kind of people who can simply part ways so easily. You must know that, right?”
“…….”
“Especially that… thing! I hid it well enough to keep it from the priests, but you unsealed it! Do you even understand how much trouble you’d be in if that ever came out into the world?”
Afraid someone might overhear, he didn’t even dare say the word “magic stone,” yet Simon still shouted loudly.
Swish.
When Kasha suddenly turned around, Simon flinched in surprise.
“Now that you mention it, I am curious. Just where on earth did you hide those magic stones?”
She had to exert great effort not to openly mock his obvious lie.
‘From now on, I’ll find them myself using my own power—just you wait, Simon.’
As Kasha turned away again after muttering this to herself, Simon shrieked once more.
“Besides, we’re practically engaged!”
Ha.
It was so absurd she couldn’t help but scoff.
Could he possibly be referring to that ridiculous remark he’d blurted out months ago while strolling through the garden, when he’d suddenly grabbed her hand and declared, “Now we’re practically engaged”?
He’d treated marriage like it was nothing, handing her a cheap ring and calling it done—so apparently, he intended to claim their engagement was settled by mere words alone.
‘Right. That kind of shamelessness is exactly what makes a true villain.’
Simon went on boastfully, spouting nonsense.
“If things end between us like this, you’ll be the one in trouble! Don’t you understand that men and women hold different positions in society? Even if you’re hopelessly awkward with people….”
Kasha remained calm no matter what he said—but she noticed Sena, who had just entered the parlor holding a fresh teapot, stop dead in her tracks upon hearing the conversation, her face turning deathly pale.
‘I can’t indulge him any longer.’
Kasha walked over with deliberate steps and picked up the teapot from the tray Sena was holding.
It had clearly just been boiled—the steam was still rising from its spout.
Gripping it tightly, Kasha spun around sharply.
Startled by her sudden movement, Simon flinched.
With a blank expression, Kasha raised the teapot high toward him.
“Simon Blanch. Shut your mouth and get out—before I pour this freshly boiled tea over you.”
She wasn’t joking. Listening to his incessant babbling was making her feel murderous.
It was enough to make her roll her eyes—how pathetic must he have been acting to actually believe such nonsense would work?
Meanwhile, Simon’s terrified, ashen face was almost worth watching.
“K-Kasha. You’re—you’re insane! How do you even plan to fix this situation? I—I won’t stand for this! There’s no way I’ll let things end between us like this! Never!”
Yet even as he shouted, he kept backing away step by step—apparently, he remembered just how hot that tea had been.
Suppressing the urge to throw the entire boiling pot right at his unbearable face, Kasha stormed out of the parlor like a tempest.
[This is the timeline separator]‘I knew he wouldn’t leave so easily.’
Rumble, rumble.
Feeling the carriage’s gentle vibrations, Kasha sank into thought.
As long as he needed her talent as an artificer, Simon would never let her go easily.
He surely knew she had changed from before—so now, he’d seek a different method.
“If things end between us like this, you’ll be the one in trouble! Don’t you understand that men and women hold different positions in society?”
Though his threat was utterly laughable, if examined closely, it wasn’t something she could entirely dismiss with a scoff.
‘That sort of thing only applies to someone like Odette—a daughter of a powerful noble—whom no scandal can truly harm.’
Kasha’s situation was entirely different.
Though nominally the daughter of a margrave, she was a bastard with dubious lineage—and on top of that, rumors painted her as both an imbecile and a lunatic.
If Simon spread even more strange rumors about her, it would undoubtedly cause her serious trouble.
‘Though it’s laughable he’d even suggest spreading rumors himself. Until now, he’s been extremely careful to meet me only within the Lyuschno manor, just to keep our closeness hidden.’
Trending
Kasha scoffed, yet buried herself deeper into the carriage seat with a serious expression.
Regardless, it was true that she had unsealed the magic stone. The moment Simon and the shadowy figure behind him decided she no longer held any value to them, they would once again label her a villainess and seek to destroy her—just as they had before her return.
‘Therefore, I must break the curse placed on Lion—the first victim of the magic stone Onor—and turn him to my side.’
She would begin with Lion and find that woman. She would save both Lion and herself.
If Lion’s curse not only failed to worsen but actually began to heal, just how frantic would that faceless mastermind become?
The thought lifted her spirits considerably.
‘And aligning myself with Lion offers more than just that advantage.’
She needed a way to keep Simon from approaching her—and at the same time, prevent him from spreading damaging rumors.
In short, she needed a barrier.
A barrier strong enough to block Simon’s advances, buy her time to finish her current magical artifact research, and uncover the mastermind’s identity.
Lion possessed precisely that—status, lineage, and social standing all in one.
‘Assuming, of course, he accepts my proposal.’
Kasha gazed out the carriage window slightly.
Beyond the well-paved road rose a grand mansion into view.
The Grand Ducal Residence of Aranias.
Its pure white outer walls, built entirely of white bricks, shone dazzlingly beautiful.
Just like that man—Lion.
‘And just as unyielding as he appears.’
Staring at the firmly closed main gate, Kasha thought to herself.
After the coachman spoke at length with the gatekeeper, the gate finally began to open slowly—thankfully, her status as the daughter of Count Lyuschno still held some weight.
Normally, she should have sought prior written permission for a visit—but she doubted Lion would have granted it even if she’d sent a letter.
So she had no choice but to push forward recklessly like this.
[This is the timeline separator]“Could you please wait here for a moment? His Grace has not yet returned. You did make an appointment, correct? I haven’t heard anything about it from him….”
The butler spoke with an uneasy expression, trailing off awkwardly.
Kasha tried her best to put on the most shameless expression possible as she replied.
“Yes. That’s correct.”
“Oh—ah, I see. Then please have a seat. I’ll bring you some tea while you wait.”
The butler bowed without further comment, though his face still clearly showed doubt.
‘His Grace made a private appointment with a lady?’
That was likely the exact thought running through his mind.
Kasha pretended not to notice and sat primly on the sofa.
Servants soon brought out fragrant tea and cookies.
Kasha accepted them without protest and ate heartily.
She hadn’t had time for a proper meal before rushing out, so she was genuinely hungry.
But once her hunger was satisfied, an unexpected challenge arose.
‘…I’m sleepy.’
The exhaustion from staying up all night organizing research notes began to catch up with her.
‘I can’t fall asleep now.’
Nod…
‘No…’
Nod…
But the afternoon sun pouring into the Grand Duke’s parlor was far too soothing to resist.
Before long, Kasha began dozing off, her head bobbing gently.
How much time had passed?
She drifted on the hazy border between dream and reality.
“Die! You villainess! Die!”
“So go ahead—save your own life first. Mine is already ruined.”
“If you’re going to die anyway, can’t you do it gracefully? After all this time pretending to care, acting like you had feelings, catering to your gloomy whims! Do you have any idea! How much! Mental energy! I’ve wasted!”
It hurts. Stop. Please stop hitting me.

Her body, recalling the pain of her past life, turned cold and began trembling violently.
Just then—
Clack. Clack.
A firm, measured set of footsteps approached from somewhere, gradually pushing the haunting memories away.
Kasha opened her eyes, drenched in cold sweat.
“What are you doing here?”
His hair was damp—as if he’d just returned from grueling training. His uniform was caked in dirt, his jawline even sharper than before. His violet eyes, narrowed in disbelief at the sight before him.
All of it combined to give him the dangerous aura of an exhausted beast of prey.
Yet he was the one man who, even through endless suffering in her past life, had never abandoned his convictions—and the only one who, despite losing everything, never blamed her. Lion.
Looking at him standing before her, Kasha blinked slowly.
He glared at her as if ready to devour her—but she didn’t look away.
‘When taming a beast of prey, you must never avert your eyes. Otherwise, it’ll eat you alive.’
“Lord Lion.”
“…….”
“Has it really only been a week?”
Kasha straightened herself and rose from the sofa. As she wobbled slightly, Lion—instinctively chivalrous—reached out to steady her before quickly pulling his hand back as if he’d caught himself.
“Did I invite you here?”
His voice was icy—deliberately cold, even harsh.
Yet Kasha didn’t flinch in the slightest. She smoothed her damp hair and offered a faint smile.
“Since you wouldn’t come… I had no choice but to come myself.”
Lion’s intense gaze remained fixed on her slow gestures and that subtle smile—he couldn’t tear his eyes away.
“You don’t seem very patient.”
“…….”
“Or perhaps you simply have no fear?”
It was clearly a threat—but Kasha answered without hesitation.
“I’d like to have a conversation. Just the two of us.”
Ha.
With a dismissive snort, Lion turned sharply and strode away without another word.
After taking three large steps, however, he abruptly stopped as if struck by a sudden thought.
“…Show her to the study on the second floor. I’ll be up after I’ve washed.”
He issued the order to the butler, who had been standing anxiously nearby—still refusing to look back at Kasha.
Still wearing that faint smile, Kasha followed the butler upstairs to the second floor.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.

It’s cute that he is taking care of her, also confused what to do next.
The father is very disappointing. I wondered if he had married his wife out of obligation, as she was a saintess, and now that she is gone, he is going down a spiral.
This chapter was just frustrating, only enemies trying to scheme against our couple
