It had always been like this. The man, who never seemed to have an ounce of desire, bared his teeth whenever he was alone with Seul Hee. Eun Woo quickly approached her and stole a kiss from her lips.

His hot lips lightly caught Seul Hee before letting her go.

“Seul Hee.”

Whenever he called her name with those firm lips, she felt as though her ordinary, utterly unremarkable self had suddenly become something extraordinary. And so, she couldn’t hold back anymore.

She placed her hand on his broad shoulder as he called out to her. And just like always, once again, Seul Hee surrendered her heart to him.

Thus passed a scorching night—a sweet, unstoppable night.

“Oh, I’m so nervous I think I’m going to die.”

Seul Hee covered her face with both hands. Unsure of what to do, she buried her face in her hands for a moment, then lifted her head. Today was an important day.

It was the day the results for the first-ever Animal Health Technician exam would be posted.

An Animal Health Technician was someone who, under a veterinarian’s supervision, performed animal nursing or clinical assistance duties in an animal hospital and had received official certification from the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Veterinary Medical Act, Article 2, Clause 4).

Put simply—since the legal wording was so difficult—the role was essentially the same as what Seul Hee was already doing as a veterinary technician. The certification was simply called “Animal Health Technician.”

This certification had never been offered in Korea before; this was the very first time. No one knew what kinds of questions would appear or how many candidates they’d accept. So Seul Hee had memorized every single thing within the exam scope until it was ingrained in her mind.

Sometimes she’d even stopped the experienced Manager to ask questions. At the hospital, she skipped her lunch breaks every day, focusing solely on studying. It was the same when she got home.

Though they hadn’t been dating long and were in the middle of enjoying their time together, the exam was right around the corner, so she studied even after work.
