49 Times Left, Master! (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 266
After the Third Prince’s fainting incident, I began to worry whether it was still safe to continue this escape journey with him.
I held affection for the Third Prince and respected him, but I had no desire to be unjustly swept up in his death and punished for it.
Fortunately, after staying in the village, the Third Prince never collapsed again.
He endured even the bitter medicine well and took it punctually twice a day without complaint.
While he took his medicine, I sat beside him, and as soon as he set down the medicine bowl with trembling hands, I offered him a sugar candy.
“Here. It’s a reward. Please have this, Your Highness.”
“And you?”
“I don’t take medicine.”
“But don’t you like sweet things?”
Sometimes the Third Prince accepted it willingly, other times he refused—and today was one of those days he refused.
I simply replied that I understood, peeled the candy wrapper, and shoved it straight into his mouth.
After quickly swallowing the candy and lowering his hand, the Third Prince hastily turned his head and spoke, his pronunciation slightly muffled by the candy.
“You don’t need to give me any more from now on—just eat these yourself.”
“I have my own stash, Your Highness.”
“But I haven’t seen you eat any.”

That’s a blessing ML is smart and the situation is probably will be resolved quickly, otherwise I would’ve rage flip because of that never ending misunderstandings.
I hoped that after main story ending they finally will stop that habit of lying in every little thing, it’s a pity I expected too much 🫠
I can understand ML’s jealousy, but really, why not to let his wifey pay her karmic debt and then live happily ever after?
